Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Dr. Shuman and team made it a priority to see our sick rabbit and really took great care of us through every step of the process. He got down on Thumper's level with him, did a very thorough exam and spoke to us like parents not like owners. The after-care, though, is the best part. They really checked in after the visit and heard what we had to say. SO grateful!

When one of my dogs had frequent explosive diarrhea, OTHER vets just wanted to run a bunch of expensive tests without being able to explain to me how each test will get us closer to some answers by eliminating possible causes. Dripping Springs Animal Hospital was just what we needed! They explained what tests we will run first and why and we were able to get quickly to some answers and get the problem under control. They became our regular vet for 4 years even though we live in Austin. I was happy to commute an hour to get the great care for both of my dogs.

My visit to Dripping Springs Animal Hospital has been wonderful! After relocating to Texas from out of state, I needed to establish care for my 17-year-old Bichon Frise. However, I found myself needing to do so much sooner when my Angel began feeling unwell after Thanksgiving. She was lethargic, had no appetite, couldn’t walk, and was in pain. I urgently needed to find a vet, and Dripping Springs Animal Hospital accommodated us right away on Monday morning. Sherry was incredibly helpful in scheduling our appointment. Emily and Dr. Rachel Wilson were thorough and empathetic, and their warmth and positivity made me feel at ease, given Angel’s age and health history. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome!

Amazing! My dog had over 15 mast tumors to remove and they took care of her! Its always hard to feel comfortable leaving your dog in someone else's hands but the staff and Dr. Dudley helped ease my worries and kept me informed through the whole process. I was even late picking up my baby (Austin traffic, gotta love it) and the staff, Alyssa and Allison, waited and were super patient and kind when I did get there. I sincerely recommend this vet hospital and its sister hospital, South West Vet. No doubt your pet is in great hands. Little angel Chiquita was also there to help, which is just another beautiful reminder of how amazing people/animals can be. THANK YOU!

Dripping Springs Animal Hospital is the best! I’ve taken all of my pets there for many years now and I am always so pleased with the care and expertise of all of the staff. Dr. Shuman and Dr. Wilson especially are so caring and helpful, not to mention super smart. I’ve had some not so great experiences with OTHER places over the years but not once since I started using Dripping Springs Animal Hospital. I recommend them 100%!
