I brought my Akita to this clinic every time. Dr. Sam is a very knowledgeable and professional vet. He is able to properly provide clarifications on my questions. And he also is very helpful on helping us to manage the cost. I definitely will recommend this clinic.

I absolutely love Vellore Village Pet Hospital and their team. I have a supper anxious dog but Dr. Urszula, made my fur baby visit so comfortable and pleasant. She answered all my questions thoroughly and did not rush our visit. From the moment we walked in to the very end, every interaction with the vet staff was amazing for both me and my dog. Thank you :)

BEWARE! They will try and scam you out of your money unless you ask to see the receipt. The other day I brought my diabetic cat in to get a refill prescription for his insulin. The female vet kept me waiting for 30 minutes and didn't even both to come in, introduce herself. The receptionist took my cat and returned him to me after the blood sample was taken (fructose test to check if there's sugar in his blood). When I was leaving, the receptionist did not present me with a detailed receipt. Instead, she gave me the total cost of the visit. I inquired as to what I was charged for, and she said that I was being charged to check my cat's biochemistry. I didn't understand what this was so I asked the receptionist to ask the vet (who still hadn't acknowledged my existence or my cat's existence) what it was and why I was being charged for it. She came to the front and told me it was to check to see if my cat's kidneys were functioning properly. I told her that the purpose of my visit, which I clearly stated, was to get a fructose test so that I can get my cat's insulin prescription refilled. She said "well why wouldn't you want to check it?" As in, there was no actual reason to complete this test, she just wanted to take my money from me thinking I'd be too stupid to ask questions. So yes, if you do decide to go to this pet hospital (where the vet doesn't care about you or your pet) make sure to get the receipt before you pay. They may try and rip you off! *updated- I just saw that the owner of this establishment responded to my previous review accusing me of not properly caring for my diabetic pet. This is a lie. I feed both my cats raw food (which is the best possible food for a cat given that cats are biologically carnivores). Furthermore, raw food contains zero carbs and therefore is the best possible option for a diabetic cat. When I first found out my cat was diabetic, this vet tried to make me buy the poor quality dry food that they sell, claiming that this food is the best for a diabetic cat, and that it's a better choice than raw food. Big companies pay vets to carry their poor quality food. This vet(and establishment) doesn't care about your pet's health, they just want to make money. Read the reviews and you'll find that the food they carry is not the best. Both Royal Canon and Hills are full of filler ingredients that are very bad for you cat. Saw dust (powdered cellulose is one of the ingredients). These filler ingredients are required to bind the kibble together and these ingredients are not good for cats, especially diabetic cats, and yet the vet insists that a dry kibble (sold by them) is a better choice than a carb free raw food option? I don't need a degree to tell me that a raw food diet is best for a diabetic cat or just a cat in general given that they are carnivores.My cat is well and thriving and so there is no need to do consistent blood work. Again, this establishment tries to scam you out of your money by demanding that you complete more tests than is necessary.They only care about money and will charge you more than is necessary for both tests and medication (and then try and accuse you of a being negligent pet owner). They charged me $150 for human insulin (which is acceptable for a cat) at their clinic. You can get this insulin, Lantus, at Shopper's Drugmart, without a prescription, for $78. They changed me almost double the cost for the insulin! The owner and the vets that work at this establishment are manipulative and disgusting for taking advantage of people who care deeply about their animals. If you scroll down and review all of Dr. Sam's responses to the one star reviews that have been written by other people, you will notice that he always tries to blame the person writing the poor review (as he has done with me). At no point does he take any responsibility for the poor service that he's provided. I would highly recommend going to another veterinarian's office (there are several in Woodbridge). *below is a recent picture (June 2024) of my beautiful, healthy cats (aged 11 and 9)

I have consistently encountered issues with Dr. Sam and his clinic. Unfortunately, interactions are often rushed, and communication is difficult. For instance, on the insurance form under ‘Diagnosis or Condition,’ they listed procedures performed rather than the actual diagnosis. Despite multiple attempts by both myself and my insurance company to have this corrected, the error has not been addressed, resulting in our claim being denied. It has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this clinic to others.

No Cabron

It has been our pleasure to journey with our st Bernard Oso with this establishment for 11.5 years. This office takes a lot of crap from people online, from what I can tell, but with us, they have been kind, considerate, fiscally understanding, and professional. Although we are heartbroken today, we feel blessed for having Oso in our lives and this office to support. One love ya'll.
