After a few poor experiences with different vets at this clinic, I've decided to take my dog elsewhere. One vet we saw refused to listen to what we had to say and had decided what was wrong with our dog without even looking. The Hospital Manager refunded us the cost of this appointment. Another vet we saw was scared of our dog and couldn't examine him, jumping back in a panic whenever he moved. Both vets refused to refill medicine that he needed to prevent recurring ear infections. One vet tech pushed very hard to have us switch all his medication to something new though we didn't ask for that and it didn't relate to the appointment at all. Update to clarify/correct: The preventative solution we'd asked to be refilled was Burrows Solution.

WARNING: Their business model is to charge you for everything without first letting you know there will be a cost. Please ask about everything before your pet enters. They will give you a quote for the bigger services. But when they just sneak an extra 100 into the service without first informing you I find this business model to be unfair and dishonest.

I brought my cat Ash into the clinic to get checked out, the lady over the phone was so friendly and they told me if my schedule allowed for it, that they could get him in the same day I called! I took him in a couple days later and they told me they would let me know prices before proceeding with anything (I am a uni student and money is a bit tight :,) ) they gave him medications, recommended things, went through the treatment with me very clearly, and all the staff were so very patient and friendly. I will definitely be continuing to have him seen here!!

I have recently switched to Burnham from High Street and so far they have been amazing. I see other people complaining about being asked about additional tests and results however I feel that I will always give my dog the best treatment and tests to ensure she is healthy! My dog has had to go in about 3 times during the last week due to mistakes from my other vet and although Burnham is quite expensive, I feel it is definitely worth it. My first appointment I was late due to my own mistake and they were so understanding and kind and allowed me to come in when I could. They cuddled my dog, pet her, spoke to her which calmed my highly anxious dog. They were very reassuring and helpful when I told them my dog needs a lot of attention and "emotional support" as she's had terrible experiences in the past. My partner took her in for her most recent visits and it was absolutely amazing to be receiving updates that he could hear them talking to her and comforting her in the back room, it is SO important to know how a vet is treating your pet when you're not around. After her blood work the vet actually called the front desk woman to come back and cuddle her before sending her home. After a whole scare due to my old vet making me think my dog had heartworm without letting me know and not retesting the results, the woman who called me from Burnham to let me know my pup was all good APOLOGIZED for "making me cry" on the phone earlier when they told me they wanted to do a retest to just make sure it was a mistake from my old vet, it was just so nice. They care about you and your pets! I can't say enough good things.
