How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I had a lovely experience with the low cost/ high volume spay clinic for my dog. I had booked her in for August, but when she went into heat the team at Twin Lakes easily rescheduled me for 6 weeks after her heat. The morning of the surgery was a breeze, and they took great care of my girl. She’s 2 days post op, and doing great. They also gave me 10 days worth of calming medication to help with her recovery that is critical with a high energy dog. The scar is also only about 2.5 inches long on my 70 lbs dog. I recommend Twin Lakes to all my friends and clients as well.

We had both our dogs neutered and spayed there. The male is a large breed over 100 lbs, and the price was under $500. Very reasonable well worth the drive from Parry Sound. They function like a well-oiled machine. Both dogs healed quickly. Very pleased, highly recommend.

An amazing experience from start to finish. The price is right. The staff are kind and caring. We couldn’t be happier to get our baby girl Oink spayed at Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital. I have and will be telling everyone to go there!

Thank you Twin Lakes team for looking after Diesel during his neuter surgery last Friday. His recovery time was minimal. He's back to being his playful, cuddly self.

Nice and polite people working. Unfortunately, they left us waiting with a scared/anxious cat for 2hrs after the agreed appointment time (while people who got in late jumped the line because they missed their appointment) … so better to be late than early …sadly. Hopefully it goes better with the dog later this week.
