There is a reason we drive across the city to take our beloved fur children to Dr. Datta. His compassion and level of care is like none other. He takes the time to personally answer phone calls, provides advice, perform in home visits (which is how we first met him) and gives his honest opinion when it’s time to let your pet go. He always does what is best for your pet. You can tell Dr Datta genuinely loves animals. The whole team is wonderful and kind. We 100% recommend Dr. Datta.

Dr. Datta saved my cats life through a simple exam and change of meds and I am so incredibly thankful. While our own vet told us our cat needed to be euthanized, we didn't feel it was time and sought a second opinion. I was familiar with Dr. Datta as he does frequent work for the rescue I work with so I've been in many times for dog and puppy intake but never my own personal animals or animals with illness. Since I was familiar with him and knew him to be kind, I decided to give his office a shout to see if they'd take on my personal pets. They fit us in the same day, and Dr. Datta actually looked at my cat, found the problem, got him different antibiotics and new pain meds, and now my cat, who was set to be euthanized two weeks ago, is thriving and happy again. On top of that, he was realistic with me that my cat is elderly and he'd found a heart murmur, and therefore surgical treatment of the issue, while absolutely could be completed, may not be the best option for him. He didn't even try to push anything extra on us, or suggest anything beyond the meds. We appreciated that. And now our cat is still running sound when he'd have been in an urn and we'd have been mourning. I am so grateful!

Love these pet people, I have had a few great experiences with them, with a cat and a dog. When I switch vets over to Datta, they gather all the info from the previous one and I didn't have to do a thing. They are kind and caring with your fur friend and take great care to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. It is a very calming environment. The cost is on point with other vets I have been too, with this one also being mobile if need be. The vet dr. themselves are extremely friendly and take the time to let you know what they are doing along with what may need to be done. They give suggestions but never pushy, so you can process and make informed decisions. I highly recommend Datta...thank you for being so awesome.

I started going to Dr. Datta after having to euthanize my kitty (due to oral cancer). He did a great job at making him comfortable and reassuring us that nothing could be done - which many others had told us. The issues started to arise when my frenchie ran into some skin issues. Now I understand these can be hard to diagnose, but what happened has blown me away and am now hearing horror stories from other pet owners about this place. She first had a big painful blister on her paw, almost a year ago. I took her in, and he told me to keep it dry. Weeks went by and she was now limping. I took her back for a third time at which point I paid for the initial visit of $75 and the follow up of $30, third time is free. He started saying a biopsy needed to be done to check for cancers. I thought this was very dramatic as I could see it was just something in the surface of the skin.. I left with no biopsy and decided to self care with epson salts. The issue was resolved naturally within a week…. Just over 10 weeks ago, the same dog had extremely red, irritated paws. This was only on the paws. No where else. The first appointment she was diagnosed with allergies and needed an antibiotic shot, with antibiotic soap. This cost me roughly $350. 3 weeks later, her paws were worse and more red. We went back and Dr. Datta told me it can take time, keep doing what i’m doing. 3 more weeks passed and now we’re (again) at a third visit. This time, there almost looking like they’re bleeding. He takes a skin scrapping and determines that she has an infection (why was that not done originally???) I get told to stop the allergies pills immediately, she needs an antibiotic (28 days of this pill i may add…), another antibiotic shot and i get sent home with yet another $300 bill. Awesome. We started her on the antibiotic and almost immediately she got worse. Not only her paws got worse, but her gut health and overall personality decreased. She stopped eating breakfast and was simply lethargic. We waited about a week before following up. He wanted me to come back but at this point, I refused. I wanted to know what they would do to help prior to taking more time off work and stressing my dog out more. He sent me an email with a number of different possibilities, stating another skin culture should be done, blood testing for liver and kidney disease, etc. Sounds extremely expensive. I got fed up and went to buy organic, apple cider vinegar and started a 50/50 paw soak with water. Within 2 days, her paws are back to normal, her engery is up and she’s eating normally. My sister recently took her cat there as she thought it had worms. Dr Datta took a stool sample and told her it was clear. She took a sample to a different vet just days later, and the cat has tapeworm. Another close family friend mentioned her daughter took her cat here for skin issues. He diagnosed fleas as allergies… I have already changed vets, but want other pet owners to be aware that they gaslight you to feel as though you need to spend lots of money, they have missed things that no vet should, like fleas and worms, and you almost always leave feeling confused and taken advantage of (for anything other than a reg check up & even then he’s pushing things you really don’t need)
