How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Islington Village Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Thank you for welcoming our little lady to your clinic. Dr. Brown & Amanda were lovely. She had such a paw-sitive experience & we’re looking forward to coming back soon.

Dr. Hume, Dr. Simpson are both really good vets! They take time to see my anxious dog, playing with him, offering treats etc. Doctors take time to explain everything and follow-up when required. Clinic staff is super nice and friendly on calls or during visits. Super happy with this vet hospital.

We love this place. Always ready to accommodate you with appointment and advice. We took our dog 2 times to other clinic because IVAH was closed at that time and we did not like those places at all. We like IVAH the most and will always recommend to anyone. Doctors are very gentle, professional and caring. Front desk staff efficient and organized.

I was searching for in-house solutions when it was time for me to put my dog down. Was being quoted around $1000+ for my large dog, by everyone I called. We called Islington Village and they quoted me a very fair price in comparison. Everything went very smoothly with the whole process and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. They did their absolute best to accommodate us and I would recommend them to absolutely everyone. Thank you IVAH!

My cat is a bit of a drama queen, but makes herself at home when she's here. She isn't agitated or nervous. The staff are amazing. She was an adult rescue w some missing teeth and had her dental surgery here to correct other damaged teeth. 2 years later- she is still quite comfortable with this clinic. The staff are extremely compassionate and fully engaged with our furry family members. Communication is excellent as is follow up care.
