How to Save Money at Animal Cancer Care Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we felt the caring and compassion for our girl Frontier. After seeing Vicki and then Dr. Lisa Moore and receiving news we kind of suspected Dr. Moore was gentle, informative and very well educated in the delivery. I have already recommended this facility to others. The details of having our girl's name along with all the other new patients on a board to welcome them and made us feel comfortable as well. Clean, on point and ease of scheduling an appointment was great. Thank you for all you did for us and your love for so many others.

In February 2023, our vet informed us that we had six weeks to say goodbye to our Sasha. We took her to the Animal Cancer Care Clinic for a second opinion. It has been four months since that day. Sasha is now in remission. Her swelling is completely gone. No more whimpering. She’s even back to playing and acting like a young dog again. Thank you to the wonderful people that have given Sasha a second chance at life and living out her final years without pain. Thank you all so much for the love, compassion, and care you’ve provided. You truly love animals.

I recently found out that my 16 year old Chinese Crested, Ripley, has lymphoma. I was referred to Animal Cancer Care Clinic and thank goodness I was. Everyone from the doctors to the front desk staff are absolutely wonderful. They are so kind, they are very detailed in explaining everything and they listen to all concerns. They were able to get us in right away and were able to get Ripley an earlier appointment to start his treatments, which was very appreciated. They understand the love that people have for their pets and are very compassionate. Thank you ACCC!

I just returned home from taking my dog here, and the entire staff was phenomenal. The front office people were very welcoming and very friendly towards my dog who is always very nervous at the vet. Our nurse, Vicky, was so kind to him as well, and she showed such a genuine care for him as a patient. She was sympathetic and was very attentive when it came to getting all of his information. Dr. Lisa Moore was fantastic. I truly felt as though she cared for him as though he was her own pet. She was very kind, answered all of our questions, and couldn’t have been more of a pleasure to be around. I highly recommend Dr. Lisa Moore and the excellent staff here.

I got extremely lucky with this location, at first I was nervous because I am very use to people not understanding how much my dog means to me. But the staff here clearly understands what it means when people say pets are family. From the moment I got there everyone is super nice and understanding. The front desk staff was super nice ! Dr Ruddle was so amazing ! She understood that I was nervous about the mass found and I was even more nervous about the surgery. Dr.Ruddles team Crystal and Karin were also amazing, they kept me updated with what was going on with Auggi while she was there getting ready for surgery, during surgery and after. I am very blessed that they were able to help Augustina , remove her mass and I am very happy that I got alot of comfort knowing the staff she was with clearly loved animals.
