How to Save Money at 24/7 Animal Hospital of Orlando
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

We brought our boy Shadow of 19 years in to be euthanized. This was the most difficult decision we've ever had to make, and that any pet owner would have to make. We called so many places in hopes of having at-home euthanasia, so that Shadow's last moments could be in a familiar place, so that he'd feel less stress, as much as peace as possible, and be in the arms of those who loved him. We weren't able to find a place with more immediate availability, and Shadow was suffering. From my first phone call with 24/7 Animal Hospital until the day we returned to retrieve our boy's remains, the staff at 24/7 Animal Hospital was exceptionally compassionate and kind. We had never had to help an animal end it's suffering, and no matter how much you try to prepare, you are not prepared. We are especially incredibly grateful to the two young women who cared for our Shadow and for us as we experienced this together. They explained everything so well, allowed us as much time as we needed for each step, and spoke to and handled our Shadow so lovingly for the brief time they had him to place his catheter. He was in our arms from the moment we walked in and through the entire process, and this made Shadow feel calm and at peace with his mom and dad. We could not be more satisfied with this most difficult experience. We are TRULY GRATEFUL!!

Wow what an experience. First and foremost thank you for being available to take care of our puppy. We were on vacation here and had an unexpected emergency with our 7month old puppy. Luckily we were able find this hospital that accepted walk-ins because none of the other vets had vacancy or took walk ins. At first we were apprehensive about taking Lexi to a random doctor but from the moment we walked in Katie made us feel welcome. She was amazing and very knowledgable/caring. The Vet was also great he was kind and had us out in a flash. The location is nicely remodeled and smelled fresh and clean. Thank you all again for the great care.

I had to bring in my dog for an emergency and unfortunately I had to put her down. Everyone here was amazing. Answered any questions I had. Elizabeth was great! She was so caring and compassionate. She stayed with me until the end. I can't thank everyone here for all you did and tried to do. You don't understand how nice it was knowing someone was there in the time of losing their beloved pet. Thank you again!

My daughter and I came across a dead momma kitty, 3 dead kitties and one left alive. I already knew how to care for an orphaned newborn so we bought replacement milk, etc. The next day baby's eyes were swollen and I could only get one to drain. The other had gotten so big I brought him in. They were so amazing and the most caring vet and staff I've seen in years! They truly are there for the well being of your animal. Thank you so much for helping this lil guy's eye and his life. I don't know that he'd have survived after that kind of infection without you. 🥰 Update: Milo has obviously been thriving since we first found him. His eye never fully developed on the side that was infected, but he is 25 lbs of love and chunk that we can't live without! He's such a blessing and so good natured and tolerant. Thank you for giving him a chance at life!

I discovered 24/7 when my Pomeranian was experiencing symptoms of a collapsing trachea. I walked in with her and the doctor heard her when we walked in. He immediately took her from me and leapt into action. I’ve never experienced a veterinarian act this quickly. He has always been honest and has guided me with my other dogs. They’ve made me a loyal customer for life.
