How to Save on Veterinary Costs at West Boulevard Veterinary Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I called in on a Friday as a very panicked pet parent and Jenny answered the phone. She spent a solid 10 minutes talking me through intake and my options for care. I immediately felt much better than I had calling 6 other clinics prior. When we came in to see the Dr the following Monday, she was utterly incredible. I’ve never had a vet take the time, energy and care to explain in detail what they were going to do and what my pets condition was. She was fantastic with both me and my animal. West Boulevard is across town for me, but I won’t go anywhere else now. So pleased and grateful for the service.

We have been with them for over ten years. Even though they are far away, we'll always be willing to take the long drive. Dr. Rurak has seen all of my pets, especially my rats. She is compassionate and honest. The clinic staff are also very experienced. I would never see another vet closer, the vets at West Boulevard are the best.

The staff are all amazing and I am so grateful that they have been helping me care for my elderly westie. Ten Stars, honestly. 2024 Update: I don’t know what I would do without the team at West Boulevard to help me take the best care of my three elderly terriers. The vets always listen and don’t judge, give good information and work with me to figure out the best way forward. All the staff are empathetic and patient, and I feel like our family matters. Thank you!

I have nothing but positive things to say about West Boulevard Vet Clinic. They are kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Both of my rabbits were rescued and therefore very timid and shy in new surroundings. The vets worked quickly to minimize stress on them and were patient and gentle the entire time. Thank you

We thought QQ would take some time to regain his appetite after the dental cleaning but he was happy and playful right after it and ate more than usual. Thank you for your care!
