How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vancouver Veterinary Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have been going to Vancouver Veterinary Hospital since the 1990s. I moved across town 9 years ago and reluctantly took my dog elsewhere. After going back and forth between other clinics and Vancouver Veterinary I am finally back for good after bringing Ash back for a second opinion. All of the Doctors are excellent. They are thorough, kind, empathic and take time to explain and give attention to the pets. I trust them completely.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vancouver Veterinarian Hospital, and as someone who also works in the medical field, albeit in a different area, I was thoroughly impressed by Dr. Caius Chan’s exceptional care. Despite arriving straight from a business trip on just a few hours of sleep and not looking my best, Dr. Chan’s professionalism and genuine concern for my dog Lulu’s well-being were evident. He took the time to thoroughly examine her ear issue and provided detailed explanations without any pressure, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Dr. Chan for anyone seeking compassionate and trustworthy veterinary care. His expertise and dedication have certainly left a memorable impression on me. Thank you Dr Chan and front desk team 🙏🏻❤️

As a first-time cat owner, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Vancouver Veterinary Hospital. From day one, our almost 1-year-old kitten, Bafla, has received excellent care. Dr. Goldberg and the team are professional and incredibly helpful, always answering our questions and offering valuable guidance and advice. Their expertise and patience have made the transition to cat ownership smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a veterinary hospital that truly cares about your pets and provides top-notch service, Vancouver Veterinary Hospital is the perfect choice.
