Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

Update: The owner got in touch with me. He was genuinely curious about what happened. The call went unexpectedly well, which made me want to change my rating. What happened was 1. The conversation was respectful, he asked for my feedback in detail, without making assumptions, hoping to improve the customer service of his team 2. I appreciate and respect business owners who take this degree of care into their business ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My first experience was great; however, I encountered a difficult situation where I had to travel to the US back in June for a hike, and I wanted to make sure my dog had proper deworming medication (an oral tablet medication), so I called Point Grey a week in advance inform them that I would like the medication ready for pick up. The lady on the phone kindly told me she would prepare it for me and put it aside for pickup. Then, a week later (a day before my flight), I went to them, and the male staff told me there was never a note for me and the medication was out of stock. He then suggested that I buy an OTC brand instead, with a very I'm sorry, but I'm not here to help you attitude. Considering my flight was tomorrow, I felt like I was in a very stressful situation. Therefore, I ended up buying the OTC deworm from a pet shop, but I did a little research before I decided to put it on my dog's fur (thank god). Many reviews suggest that it is highly irritating to their pet, and they suffer insomnia and hair loss due to the intensity of the cream. So, I tossed it out; I would never use that on my little dog. I ended up going for a very light route for a hike. Since the incident, the front desk staff, mainly the male staff, has been not very friendly with me.

The staff here are always so loving, kind, sweet, and they give the BEST treats ever. ♥️ I used to be super nervous about going but everyone that works there genuinely loves what they do and you can tell by the consistency of the amazing service every time. I used to have so much anxiety about vet appointments but point grey vet makes me feel right at home always… and all the yummy treats and cuddles! Home away from home. 10/10 recommend! Sincerely, Rosie 🐾

My wife and I are new dog parents and took our puppy, Rizzo, for vaccines and a consultation at Point Grey Veterinary Hospital today. We did not have much knowledge on care or what to look out for, and Dr. Rebecca Burke and her team took care of Rizzo incredibly well. We were greeted by the amazing staff and front desk immediately and made us feel very comfortable. Dr. Burke spent a lot of time with Rizzo just to make him comfortable before he got out of his kennel. We really appreciated her patience and sharing knowledge with us. Most importantly, she was so gentle in giving vaccination to Rizzo. I would HIGHLY recommend going to this clinic and even if I didn’t live so close, would travel just to come back. Very happy new dog parents! Thank you team!

I am completely happy with my visits to Point Grey Vet Hospital. Communication is what was been lacking with my previous vet, and that was the reason I looked for a new vet with our new puppy Lexi. Everyone we have seen so far at your clinic has been wonderful - so good at walking us through everything and explaining everything. So much so that when they ask if I have any further questions, I don’t have any! Very grateful to have found your clinic 🐾🐾

My little girl Stella has been seeing Dr. Clark since she came into my home at 6 weeks old, she is now 15 years old!!! We have moved around a bit since then and are now driving for an hour each way to Dr. Clark! I would not trust anyone other then Dr. Clark and his team to take care of my beautiful little girl!
