How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Sechelt Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Went to other vets as they were closer however after 4 years of just maintaining allergy flare ups as they happen (Paws/Ears infections and being very itchy) They advised seeing a dermatologist in Vancouver. Thought I would try bringing my Bernedoodle here instead and it was a game changer. After 2 visits within a week or 2 his allergies had totally cleared up and he was no longer losing hair from itching and is now on a monthly medicine which he loves. His coat has never looked as healthy and I will always tell people to bring their pets here after my experiences.

They staff of this veterinarian were all so kind and helpful to my emergency pet issues. My dog is ageing (13) and the sensitivity of all the staff helped me so much! Truly appreciate their knowledge and expertise as I care for my geriatric dogs. Great explanation of all meds needed for my dog with a demonstration. Keep upnthe exceptional work
