Go Elsewhere

It seemed like it was a good insurance policy but as I took my dogs to the vet whenever I submitted claims they were nickel and diming items on the claim. It was more like they were busy finding reasons not to cover than to do what is right by the claimant. They refer to their wellness plan and when I got that again I was nickel and dimed. After two years they asked for one of my dog’s medical history prior to the policy continuing. The dog had no issues. The company seems to be interested in getting premiums but not paying out. I switched to spot insurance instead. They were less and covered more.

Embrace has been very helpful so far!

Embrace has been very helpful so far. I do recommend getting your cat and/or dog signed up for an insurance plan as soon as you adopt them. The exclusion for pre-existing conditions can be quite harsh if you wait to sign them up. I will always sign up my furbabies for a policy right after I adopt them! It is MUCH better to have an accidental policy and never use then to have an accident and not have an insurance policy! With cats and dogs, anything can happen even if we are careful!

my dog had a lymph node that swelled up…

my dog had a lymph node that swelled up due to infection in the body (a natural response when you are sick) and they claimed it was a pre-existing condition. i had the vet write a dispute to let them know this was not the case that the swelling was not related to anything prior, and they still denied the claim. now if his lymph swells again which naturally it may whatever it is in response to they wont cover. Its a scam

This company will find every reason to…

This company will find every reason to deny your claim. I had to contact them 4 times to get them to see where they had made a mistake. I responded to their reasoning in messages and they sent me the exact same reasoning each time. It was like they didn’t even read what I said. It took me calling and being sent to the adjuster’s voicemail to actually get in contact. The adjuster sis not call me back, but emailed me with the SAME response. I immediately responded and told them they needed to call me. We set a time, they were late, I emailed again and immediately got a call. The adjuster had gone to her higher ups and they pointed out what she missed. This has been ongoing for a month. I am cancelling my insurance with them due to the crappy customer service. Their plan isn’t even that great. I’m going back to Nationwide. I never had problems with them.
