I wish more was covered during the treatment phase. I had to put down A LOT of money for the deposit just for a big chunk to get reimbursed when my dog was discharged. I’m glad I have the insurance, don’t get me wrong, BUT, having to have a few thousand dollars upfront to get get my dog treated is tough!! It’s why I got the insurance in the first place! And why I chose Trupanion - because of your direct billing. Both times my pet was in the hospital this past weekend, you grossly low-balled what you would cover leaving me to scramble for a big deposit. When my dog was discharged, THEN you paid more and reimbursed me a big chunk! Thank You for helping us! But I wish you covered the estimate better.
