Quick and stress free claim approval and payment
We had to take our 4 month old puppy to the Emergency Vet on a weekend where he had many diagnostic tests and treatment plus an overnight stay. It was so stressful. The easiest part came when we went to pay and the receptionist learned we had Trupanion insurance. She right away submitted the claim, received approval and I left paying a third of the total bill. I didn't need to file a separate claim or any paperwork once the vet had my Trupanion policy number. We hope to never need them but they are there if you do.

Pumpkin is the best for my girl! Highly recommend!
Pumpkin has always taken care of my girl. She has needed to use her insurance three times since she was born and every single time Pumpkin has been reliable and there. It is a peace of mind knowing that my little girl can be taken care of with the best care because I have pumpkin!

Satified with an exception
Overall, I have been satisfied with PetsBest. My biggest complaint is the time it takes to process claims. Much more often than not I get an email apologizing for the delay in processing my claim. On my latest claim I actually received two emails again apologizing for the delay. The claim was submitted on Aug 13, 2025 and not completed until 09/02/2025. Much to long. If not for that I would have given PetsBest 5 stars.

Claim denied
I took my new kitten in for her first vet visit. The wellness claim was denied as well ass her bloodwork for feline check up. The claim reviewer would not accept the detailed explaination sent in by our vet clinic. A wellness exam was covered for the dog but not for my 3 cats. I am not impressed with this insurance.
