This is fine
I had multiple invoices related to the same injury. One of the invoices was denied with no explanation and no opportunity for me to provide any further explanation. Overall, the process was fine and pretty fast, but also pretty cold and impersonal.

Helpful for the big expenses
I would have to crunch the numbers to see if there is an actual cost benefit to having this service. It is very helpful for us, as we have used it multiple times for our dog. However, due to the monthly payments and high deductible (in order to afford the monthly payments), I can't truly say if there is a benefit overall or if I spend as much as I end up having covered. Since my dog currently has an injury that is not healing "as expected" and it is taking much longer than "expected" and may result in specialized care...it could be very cost effective. That said, since exams and visits aren't covered (and specialists cost hundreds just to walk in the door), my cost will remain very high. So, I am happy with my service and I don't plan on cancelling, but friends that ask about insurance ask about all the things that I already listed. So, my answer is a "7".
