Ridiculous

Took 45 days to be reimbursed for my simple wellness claim. The UI on the app only allowed for a single page document. However, it needed a summary of care and a receipt showing it was payed. These did not come on the same sheet which created a hassle trying to get the claim even accepted. But the worst part is that I signed up for the policy with 2 cats, and paid double so that both my cats had separate coverage. But since they both fell under the same policy, they both only fell under a single wellness plan. So the maximum reimbursement amount I would be allowed to receive for wellness treatments would be the same as if I had a single cat on the policy. I wish I knew this before having a number of wellness treatments done on my cats, racking up a few hundred dollars in bills that I had assumed I was going to be reimbursed for (hence the whole point behind getting pet insurance with a good wellness plan). But I guess that's on me for expecting that since I was paying double to get separate coverage, I'd have double the maximum amount I could be reimbursed for. Silly me.

Vet Bill processing

I uploaded copy of my vet bill and cy of paid receipt. I started receiving automated messages that more info was needed. Not clear what was needed. Since it was a holiday weekend, I waited and called today. Very helpful customer Rep checked it out and found it was already processed. Don’t know why I kept receiving the automated messages. There seems to be a glitch in your system. Always worked smoothly before

DO NOT USE FIGO PET INSURANCE

DO NOT USE FIGO PET INSURANCE. They have so many exclusions they basically pay for nothing. Do your research and choose a company that will actually reimburse you for common issues with your pet. I purchased for accidents and unexpected injuries and illnesses. Out of $4,500 in bills, they paid ZERO. Have tried to contact for clarification but have not been able to get anyone on the phone. I spent hours downloading and collecting all the information they requested. There are better companies out there. Do your research and don't waste your money.

Ridiculous wait times, EVERY time

I regret choosing Pets Best, as issues that they have covered may now be seen as previous conditions when I change companies, but I am definitely changing companies. I have waited well over a month to receive a response to every claim I have submitted with the same apology email in between about unanticipated delays despite the same thing happening for over a year across several claims. Obviously the delay should be anticipated at this point. I’m changing companies as soon as the coverage period I’ve already paid for is up.

Phenomenal Service! Life Saver!

This insurance is top notch! I am so incredibly thankful to see a company stand by and perform as advertised. Because of Trupanion I was able to walk out with a peace of mind after having my cat treated from unforeseen illness. It’s hard to always plan for emergencies because life is hard enough, but because of this plan, it truly helped when I needed it most and the care in the follow up email was great!
