Great service!
My *only* gripe is that what is covered and put in my account is that itâs still trying to go back in my old account that I donât have. I need it to come back to the same account that Iâm making my payments with it is very difficult to go and try to see if my reimbursement came in on a account that I donât pay attention to due to the fact that itâs not my initial account. That one I started payments with is closed and that bank is just pushing it to the said account I donât really mess with because itâs not my account primarily. If I can get that fixed finally that would be great!

Trupanion's advertising is TRU!
The claim submission process is easy and quick just like the approval and payout process! We submitted to Trupanion at the same time as the other dog's owner submitted to their insurance. Our process is already done and our credit card paid off and they are just getting their first claim processed! I LOVE TRUPANION!

Trupanion - bad claim experience
The lack of communication was astonishingly bad. Then the stupid stuff that was requested after I contacted Trupanion to see what was causing the delay was equally mind boggling, particularly since they already had the information about her vaccinations.

Denied for TARTAR ???
The most trusted insurance company does NOT cover the most common issue (tooth extraction). Trupanion claimed a "pre-existing condition" because the vet noted tarter build-up on a previous visit. Most (if not ALL) dogs have this very early in age. I find this an excuse not to pay the $2000 bill. I will give Trupanion ONE more chance to pay our next claim or I will most likely cancel my policy.

The process to add claims is easy enough but I think their definition of "preexisting conditions" is way to strict. Claims were denied because my pet has been to the vet before insurance was added for these issues (e.g., urinary tract and ears), but there's a difference between that and a true preexisting condition that was diagnosed. My pet received no such diagnosis, and I pay good money for the most encompassing insurance policy. Sounds more like the insurance company simply trying to avoid paying claims at all costs.
