I recently neutered my dog and hoped insurance would pay for some or all of it, but it was not covered. I also take my dog to the vet regularly for check ups and shots and purchase medicine for heartworms and fleas/ticks. I was also hoping insurance covered some or all of this, but it didn't. I'll keep it in case something really bad happens to my dog, but wished more was covered.

Great 4 Years
At the advice of a friend, we joined Healthy Paws ever since we brought our dog home. Healthy Paws has been great - easy to file claims, get reimbursements, and good communications. Our dog had 3 surgeries, dealing with few health issues, and Healthy Paws has been a good partner through all. The premiums do go up every year, but so far, has been worth it for us over the past 4 years.

Awesome!
Trupanion is a must for any animal owner. Our Abby suffers from allergies and pollen in particular. We reside in Florida which is the land of pollen. She requires almost monthly Cytopoint injections to handle her itching. We thank you so very much for the wonderful fast turn around time on processing our claims. We are very grateful. The website is easy to use. Signing Max up was easy. I hope I never need this insurance- but seeing how small animal Vetrinary Medicine is headed, clinic being bought up by groups and mutual funds - profit is going to be what drives pet medicine - just like human medicine . Be ready it is here.

Great, dependable insurance
They give great peace of mind. Our coverage does not include examinations and covers 80% of the rest after a modest deduction. Our pup recently had some health issues after years of having coverage. Our claims were quickly processed and we were reimbursed promptly. I feel it is irresponsible not to have good coverage. It allows you to seek help with even minor problems to keep your friend healthy. Healthy Paws is fantastic - I highly recommend them.

Insurance helped us through a very tough time!
We are very happy with our insurance. This year, both of our dogs were found to have a fairly rare disease, and as it often happens, if a disease is rare, a diagnosis is not made quickly. At first, we went through a hospitalization of one and a long doctoring of both; then, after 5 months, we had to hospitalize again, this time with expensive tests, such as radiographs, CT, biopsies, and lab tests for both dogs. The situation was exasperated by the fact that the hospitalized one now had an acute onset of hepatolysis. Our insurance company was with us through this entire time. They quickly and efficiently worked through all of our medical bills, returning our portion of the money in 3 to 5 business days. When thousands of dollars are in question, such a response is very important, and we are very grateful for our insurance company for helping us with no difficulties through this tough time.
