I was not expecting to get a refund of some of my vet expenses for my cat Ed. His appointment was for wellness, but I did receive some of the $$$ back, which was great. And I got it in one day!

"I adopted Mandy when she was a year and a half. I never took insurance out before on a dog, but due to her size I thought it was a good idea because of things that can happen to large dogs, hip dysplasia, ACL, etc. Then my precious Great Pyrenees at the tender age of 4 1/2 developed Mast Cell Cancer. We went through four different chemo cocktails trying to stall the growth, but lost the battle 6 months after her diagnosis. The insurance was a god send for us. Don't know how we could have afforded all the treatment she needed. The claim process was very easy and claims were paid quickly. I will absolutely use your company again when I am lucky enough to find the next love of my life. "

The prices were much better than my previous coverage. Their reimbursement stunk. One of my claims were $1306 and they only reimbursed me $192. Yours has more coverage as well

Trupanion covers so much more than the insurance for my two other dogs who are to aged to change companies, My Doodle as a puppy came with coverage for a month from the breeder, and I kept it including complimentary care. I am so happy I did. Pays directly to my vet and easy to submit on line otherwise and payment goes directly to my bank.

BEWARE OF HEALTHY PAWS!
BEWARE OF HEALTHY PAWS! After 9 years of loyalty and paying their ever escalating premiums, they decided with a 60 days notice stating 8/1/25 ALL dogs 7 years plus received a 40% reduction in coverage, my deductible went from $100 to $1,000. Basically it is now health catastrophe insurance. They do not cover wellness Had I had known this I would’ve started my puppy with another insurance company that’s more solid like Embrace. I realize these newer companies start you off on a low premium with great deductibles and coverage and then all of a sudden either drop you totally or drastically reduce the benefits, upping the premiums and upping the deductible by 1000%. Now I can’t switch him because he has pre-existing conditions so I’m stuck with a high premium $1000 deductible and a 50% coverage. Go on Reddit, FB etc. and you see people’s reviews. This new policy just happened August 2025. BEWARE OF HEALTHY PAWS
