We have been with Healthy Paws for…
We have been with Healthy Paws for close to 8 years, it was maybe a little more expensive than some of the other options but we are more than satisfied with the service we have received. Filing a claim is so easy and response time has never been more than a day or two. The annual deductible is very reasonable compared to others and I really appreciate the option of 90% reimbursement level. I haven't ever had to consider a compromise when thinking about Benny's (our dog) healthcare and for that I am very grateful. Especially as he has some pretty significant surgery recently!

Peace of Mind from Healthy Paws!
We really appreciate the financial peace of mind that Healthy Paws provided during a traumatic health event. Our sweet golden retriever, Ozzie (age 1), recently suffered from a perforated ulcer and, as a result, a septic abdomen. The bill for a major surgery + 9 day hospital stay was quite high (more than $20k!). That we didn't have to worry about the hospital bill -- and could instead just focus on Ozzie's continued recovery/progress -- was quite a blessing. Ozzie's Healthy Paws policy covers 80% of expenses, with no maximum payout, and Healthy Paws reimbursed us for the claim within days. Thank you, Healthy Paws!! We have recommended you to all of our (many) friends with pets, and will continue to do so. P.S. Ozzie is doing great and back to his usual golden retriever antics with his big brother, Rafa! Whew!

Thank You Trupanion!!!
Recently our little fur baby a ten year old Coton de touleir, cross became seriously ill. Over a period of a month and a half we had him in to see a vet on an emergency basis for a variety of reasons with regard to his digestion. There were marginal improvements, but with each treatment, new issues would spring up culminating an extreme case of bloating, putting stress on his breathing and his heart. An emergency trip to a specialist veterinary hospital a few hundred miles away was necessary in order to save him. Trupanion immediately preapproved $10,000 in treatment costs for multiple tests and necessary treatments. There were many complications and his prognosis was guarded, We were preparing for the worst. With the expertise of these doctors, we have our fur baby back home and he is doing very well and slowly regaining the weight he lost. The total bill for his treatment was over $7,500 for this visit combined with about another $2,500 from the previous vet visits for a total of aproximately $10,000. Had it not been for Trupanion we would not have our beloved companion today. I can not thank the doctors and of course Trupanion for making it possible to have our baby back for hopefully many more years

Used to be good—what happened?
When David was my claims processor things went well-informative, responsive, and quick. Now Jess is handling my claim and I haven’t had an answer since 9/27–it’s 10/13 today- and no one is responding to my request for information yet. My dog is scheduled for surgery and I wonder if this is how it goes for a C/T scan, what will happen with my future claim!? Frustrated. Just keeping me informed would do a lot.
