So grateful we chose Healthy Paws to cover our Shih Tzu. We recently found out or 21mo old pup needed major back surgery. Healthy Paws made it so much less stressful knowing we had them backing us. I called before our neurology appointment to find out what I was looking at regarding coverage. Tristan walked me through the whole process making sure I understood the terms and what would be expected of me. Because he took the time to explain it, I had all the documentation ready, uploaded it on the app and hit the submit button. Literally, 5 min. I got an email back saying they had received my claim and would review it. The first initial doc appointment for diagnosis requested the doctor’s chart. Completely understandable. Two days later I had an explanation of benefits and funds in my account that night. After surgery, same thing, 2 days and it was all taken care of. Great people to work with and so caring. I even got a follow up email from Stephanie and Tim asking how Watson was doing a week after major back surgery! It wasn’t a form letter either as we communicated a couple of time back and forth. They were happy to hear we were on the mend. The app is easy to navigate, and you can change your coverage at any time. I was truly expecting the process to be like working with our medical insurance, but it was completely different. So much easier!! If only human insurance companies were as easy to use as Healthy Paws!

1st Experience with Trupanion was #1
This weekend started with our 18month old Lab throwing up something...probably a small stuffed animal from the looks of it, except we have NO idea where he got a hold of it. 24 hours later, he's still vomiting and beyond lethargic. we carried him to the car and took him to the emergency vet hospital. I only just enrolled 2 months ago with TRUPANION. Called them from there to ask what the process was. I submitted an estimate and was called the SAME DAY that it was approved with best wishes for a speedy recovery for our pup. Today was a hard day at the hospital, but TRUPANION made it a bit easier by removing some of the financial burden from us quickly. Thank you Trupanion Team!

I had 2 claims within 1 month. Both people assigned to the cases were very prompt and efficient at getting the claims processed quickly. The communication was good and the instructions were easy to follow. I received my claim reimbursement quickly.

It took a little while to get reimbursed which is fine . My dog Nash had an illness and was treated at an animal hospital and then at his veterinarian as a follow up for the same illness I got reimbursed for the animal hospital visit but never got anything from the vet visit which was included in the same claim . It cost about $400 for the meds and vet visit .

We recently hospitalized our dog who sadly ended up passing away after nearly a year of Trupanion covered Cancer Care. Everyone we worked with at Trupanion was so compassionate and helpful always. We were able to have peace of mind knowing our claims would be taken care of and that we could focus on getting the best care for our dog. We strongly feel all dog owners should have Trupanion.
