I had spot pet insurance for 1 years I had a total of 6 claims only 2 which were paid. Because there was no sign of an actual accident, they didn't cover my dog's illness, but it could only be described as an illness due to possible accidental ingestion of something how is that not an accident? I canceled after that because it was a WAIST of money.

Spot customer care is horrible
Spot customer care was very unprofessional, unresponsive and not caring about their customers. I had this insurance for about a month and then I cancelled it. The process for getting reimbursement was very long, I did not hear back for about a month. I've had other pet insurances before and the response rate was a couple of days.
