11 yrs of coverage
Trupanion has been insuring my "fur kid", Norman (most handsome Brussels Griffon you could ever meet) for 11 yrs. He has numerous health issues - hip dysplasia, grade 2-3 heart murmur, eye/ear problems due to allergies since puppyhood, histiocytic ulcerative colitis (similar to crohn's disease in humans), chronic bronchitis and most recently he has been diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy (similar to ALS in humans). Norman has struggled his entire life with health issues. He is an incredible dog - best dog, with the most friendly disposition - and I can't imagine what I would have done without insurance. He is loved by everyone who meets him, and the veterinary staff LOVE him - probably cause they see him at least once a month and it's like his second home. He is the "poster kid" for Trupanion! I have NEVER had an issue claiming anything. They even covered the cost of his wheelchair! He has blood work drawn every 6 months and Trupanion doesn't have any issue covering the costs. His heart medication for 50 days costs well over $200 - Trupanion covers 90 %. Norman and I travel, and even though I have never had to take him to a vet in the United States, I called Trupanion and they assured me that making a claim while in the States would not be a problem. My dog has travel insurance!!!! I recommend insuring your pets, and Norman is the perfect example of why insurance is so important. Trupanion has given me 11 yrs with my best friend - years that I would have never been able to afford without insurance. I am hopeful that Norman has a few more years left, but realize that quality of life is much more important than quantity of life. Trupanion is helping me ensure that Norman's last few years are as painless as possible by continuing to cover ALL of his medications. Thank you Trupanion - Norman, Walter (his younger brother) and myself are eternally grateful!

Had a great conversation with Jennifer today she was very. Professional competent personable and polite. She was patient with me answered my questions and helped me set up my portal. She listened before speaking and was extremely helpful on informing me of my coverages. Great employee to have on your side!

Gertie-TPLO at only 3 yrs old
Our three year old, Gertie, a beautiful half lab/half golden, recently, and unfortunately, tore her CCL. She was holding her back right leg up most of the time and in pain when on all fours. After X-Rays and a consultation with an animal hospital, the TPLO procedure was recommended. She did well with the surgery and is in her recovery phase which will take 12 weeks plus. Although we worried about her mobility and the thought of our fur baby having surgery, our minds were eased by the efficient and quick processing of her claim forms through Healthy Paws. It took the financial burden off of our worries so we can focus on her healing and recovery. So happy that we have purchased pet insurance through Healthy Paws to help us through. And they even emailed to see how she is doing! Love our Healthy Paws friends and appreciate their quick response. Thank you so much!

Fair so far, easy to contact
I've carried Embrace Pet Insurance for 10 years for one of my dogs. Didn't have a claim for 7 or 8 years. More recently he's been to the vet more often and we've received benefits. Company seems easy to work with, pays claims quickly and has been fair so far. Easy to reach by phone as well. I'm still hoping our rates don't increase a lot, but it's hard to predict the future. Be careful with dental benefits they are limited. Policy is clear but I was a bit confused by it.
