Just got this insurance for both my cats and there's a 500 deductible and I'm on a fixed income so this is kind of hard for me to deal with. I don't know if I'm going to keep it or not but I do have my two cats and one is very in need of that assistance

It’s worth it, I promise…
For the longest time I begrudgingly paid monthly into the insurance program for both my cats, often times thinking that it was pointless as they never got sick. Then 2021 came around and our sweet boy got sick, the bills added up quickly. Our finances had changed dramatically due to the state of the world. We quickly realized we could not afford any of his treatments if not for Trupanion. If we didn’t have insurance we would have had to make a very hard decision. I’m very thankful to have had my boy covered. The customer service has always been excellent and have addressed my concerns or issues incredibly quick.

If I could give them zero stars I…
If I could give them zero stars I would! I have had my dog covered by Pets best for about 3 years. Never had any real issues until recently when I found out my dog had a heart murmur & needed an echocardiogram. I sent in so much documentation as did my Vet (who has been my vet for 20+yrs). Closed my claims because I didn’t have the correct info which was complete BS - said they could not read the payment. Kept waiting for payment & after 7 weeks told me it needs to be paid in full before they can process it. Why not tell me that the 6 other times I called & spoke to someone or the 10 emails I sent. I just had my 4th breast cancer surgery so have not been able to work & told them that things were really tight & I needed them to reimburse me what should be about $1500 & keep getting a different answer. Its in the queue for payment- - its being reviewed for payment- today I get its going to be made a decision on in the next 24-48 hours - WHAT?!!!! its been 10 weeks now & here is the kicker - you only have 90 days to deal with your claim & then its closed for good! Its an absolute scam! I will be contacting every vet I know with a detailed letter letting them know what is happening along with a printout of the complaints on this website so they can be aware NOT TO EVER SUGGEST THEM! I will also be contacting my attorney as well as the ASPCA & my attorney general. This is absolutely not ok. I am about to be evicted because they won’t pay a claim that has been valid & I have never been late with my premium which was $148 a month up until 3 months ago right before I knew about the heart condition - I had to lower the coverage because of my health situation & my financial crisis. They are incompetent & full of one excuse after another. They should be closely investigated & I will be starting the lead on finding out more to prove I am correct with my documentation & proof. I am EXTREMELY detailed & I recorded all of the calls as well! Also after going to the Consumer Credit website & seeing all of the other terrible reviews especially having to deal with other echocardiogram patients I realize I am not alone which just makes me sick to my stomach. I’m already struggling with my cancer & now have the stress of their shenanigans & my son(dog) also having heart issues is really just despicable! SHAME ON THEM!

This insurance is useless!
This insurance is useless!! Every time you need to use it they will make up something saying it doesn't apply for a refund!! They don't solve anything and you can save all that money and actually use it on your pet when its needed. I canceled and they wven charged me for the month I didn't use it well actually never could use it because there's was always an excuse to not pay

Grateful for Healthy Paws
Our goldendoodle is fun loving, curious and always into things. He recently ate a bunch of advil out of a backpack and was in the ER for 3 days. Healthy Paws was very supportive and delivered on their commitments. We are very grateful for Healthy Paws because keeping our dog safe is really hard (despite our best efforts).
