I am not the best with filing medical or veterinary claims - though it is so easy with Embrace's webpage with filing a claim that I felt like a rock star!!!!

Has anyone heard of an "UNDIAGNOSED pre-existing" condition?

If I could put a minus star on this company I would. I insured my dogs with no pre-existing conditions (except for seasonal allergies for our boy dog) and they were receiving excellent and regular vet care from the top rated vet practice in our city. My girl got a ruptured disc and had to have very expensive surgery, along with medications and special equipment post surgery. We were so relieved that we had pet insurance. You could have scraped us off the floor when our claim was denied. They said our dog had an "UNDIAGNOSED pre-existing condition" Our vet couldn't believe it. She sent letters, e-mailed and called multiple times telling them and proving that this was not something that could be considered pre-existing. We appealed three times and each time they denied it. Be aware. . .they do not have Vets in their company to review medical information. So the people that are looking these claims are just everyday people off the street with no experience working with animals. My dog's breed is not known for having this condition. We took it to our State Insurance Board. After reviewing the information, they agreed with us that the condition could not have been pre-existing. Although they could not force Embrace to pay in our state, the investigator recommended it and the company again said no. The investigator recommended that we sue, and we probably will do just that, because we have compelling evidence that our dog did not have a pre-existing condition. If you decide to use Embrace after this review, just know that they will worm out of every opportunity to pay for necessary and life saving surgery. Then you, after paying for insurance, will be left with a big bill that may take you a long time to pay off. It is hard to make the choice between saving your pet and knowing that you will be incurring debt that may affect you for a long time, even though you did the right thing and bought pet insurance that you thought would protect you. To be honest, it is my goal to tell every person about our awful experience with Embrace, so that they don't fall into the same trap that we did.

Was Easy to Sign Up

Got a recommendation from my vet. Did a little research and found that your programs were a little more expensive up front, but contained more value long term. Sign up was easy. The $35 admin fee was fine, but would have liked to have known the amount up front before check out. Perhaps it was disclosed and I did not see it

Happy with medical and wellness plans!

I've got 3 dogs with medical and wellness coverage through Many Pets. I've can't recommend them enough. The medical plan is an 80% reimbursement after the deductible is met, which is the best I found at the time I signed up. I haven't checked recently. Claims are submitted online, and you have the choice to use direct deposit or a mailed check for your return. Filing a claim online is extremely easy. They are handled quickly, and direct deposits have been made within 24 hours of approval. Communication has been excellent. ManyPets has been very good about approving claims, and the few that were not, a customer service e-mailed a good explanation. I've never thought the denied claims were unfair. As far as price goes, I think it is great. I've almost hit 1 year for the plans on the first 2 dogs. The wellness plan has completely paid for itself with both dogs, as well as saved me money past that point. The medical plan completely saved us when one of our dogs had a mystery illness, requiring several er trips and a lot of expensive tests. It has been such a relief to not have to take the cost of treatment into consideration when it comes to his health. The only issue I would want to let someone know about beforehand is that the details of the claims are not online after you have filed them. So, you can go on and see invoice date, if it is in review, and if it has been approved. If you have more than one claim that day, there is no way to distinguish them, and you can not see any other details, such as refund amount on their website. However, they send emails with that info, so it is a very rare circumstance where this is an inconvenience. And, in that rare circumstance, very friendly reps (that sound American, if that is important to you) are ready to help you out over the phone. I highly recommend ManyPets.

Working with Fetch by Dodo for pet…

Working with Fetch by Dodo for pet insurance has been a positive experience and is very easy to navigate when filling claims. If I have a question, I can email or call in and typically have an answer within 24-48 hours. I do find the chat portion a bit confusing as it’s automated, which makes it challenging to ask specific questions. I wish Fetch pet insurance covered routine check ups and preventative care.
