I Talked To Princess And She Was AMAZING!! She Made Me Feel Super Comfortable. I Felt As Though I Was Talking Her Ear Off With Being Anxious About Being A New Pet Parent. I Had A Bunch A Questions About My Policy To Understand It Better And She Never Made Me Feel As Though I Was Doing Too Much! I Love Her! Healthy Paws Raised My Premium 300%
I’ve had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance since 2016 for my two cats, now ages 11 and 12. In July 2025, they notified me that I was receiving a 300% premium increase—from $86 to $257/month—despite minimal claims (not a single one paid out) and no chronic health issues at the time of the notification. When asked, Healthy Paws refused to explain how the increase was calculated, ignored their own rate filing, and later reduced my coverage from 80% reimbursement and $500 deductible to 60%/$1,000 without warning or approval. Very misleading and unfair for a plan advertised as covering pets for life. I have filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance and cancelled my plan. Save yourself the money - don't count on this plan to cover your aging pets.

Our policies are not cheap, but the peace of mind we have had knowing our pups are insured by Trupanion is priceless. From our late dog Lewis's lymphoma treatment to our sweet pittie Shiloh's bilateral TPLO, we never worry about coverage or cost when our pups need health care. The customer service is prompt and fantastic.

Fast Approvals & Amazing Customer Service
Trupanion truly goes above and beyond for you and your (babies) pets and are very caring. Claims get processed and approved quickly. I also like the convenience of being able to pay just your share of copay at time of service at vetenary locations that participate in it because Trupanion offers a service that allows the vetenary office to process the claim at checkout and then you pay only your share of bill instead of waiting for reimbursement, which they also process quickly usually within couple days. Customer service dept. is also amazing, they really care and are simply the best. I highly recommend Trupaion.

5 stars! Spot insurance has been nothing but great. Having this coverage has been such a huge relief emotionally and financially. I keep telling every person I know to look into this insurance. My furbaby has been experiencing sudden health issues and we all know that cats hide their symptoms very well. Because of this coverage, I have been able to keep up with my furbaby’s medical appts without delays and know that I will be reimbursed in time to schedule his follow up appt. The best part is that my reimbursements have been processed and deposited into my account in less than 12 days. I’m so grateful and this has been a learning experience for me. Don’t let your pets suffer in silence, pay that monthly fee and get your babies covered.
