Mouth Surgery
The response from Trapanion was excellent and the care given to Eva was exceptional. Only half of the needed procedure was done due to Eva’s body temperature dropping. She is scheduled to have the surgery completed on June 22, 2023. So far Eva is doing very well. Will I need to have a second quote submitted for this second procedure?

I chose ASPCA Insurance after doing a thorough search of other pet insurance products on the market. ASPCA’s product received high marks and the coverage appears to be substantial. Signing up was easy and straight forward, but I can not attest to its use because I have not yet had a need. If the claim process is as easy as adding it, then I will tout ASPCA pet insurance to all my friends who own pets.

Trupanion is the best pet insurance…
Trupanion is the best pet insurance company. Period. My late senior silky terrier, Jasper, got diagnosed with a severe form of cancer May of 2022. Without Trupanion, I would not have been able to get him an emergency surgery that improved the quality and extended the duration of his life for some precious months. I would also not have been able to do chemo rounds without Trupanion. Jasper did, very tragically, pass away on the morning of December 1st, 2022--I was shattered. It took me almost three weeks to get up the capacity to call Trupanion and cancel his insurance policy. When I was on the phone with customer service at Trupanion (I typically get severe phone anxiety), the representative was SO thoughtful and kind. They even refunded me that month's policy payment post-Jasper's death, offered their condolences, and gave me empathy. Later, I even received a sympathy letter in the mail from them. Truly above and beyond customer service and care. Now, my new husband and I have recently adopted another rescue pup, and we are entrusting him to Trupanion for his insurance as well!

I have had the most expensive pet…
I have had the most expensive pet insurance out there from Trupanion for over two years. I have submitted not less than five claims for preventive meds to detailed emergency exams and the grand majority were not covered. Trupanion is a group of nice people offering relatively expensive dog insurance coverage… it’s definitely dog coverage. Look elsewhere for pet insurance that will actually cover the normal vet bills for owning a pet!
