Denied my claim because they didn’t trust my specialist vets’ diagnosis
There is zero reason why my claims should have ever been denied in the first place. I had to go through hell and have been put on financial strain because someone on your team changed her diagnosis from “unknown illness” to “intestinal parasites” when she was NOT hospitalized due to intestinal parasites. Your staff who decided their own diagnosis of my dog are not her vets, so there is no way they could make that determination. She was seen by specialists and they are the best vets in the field, so your team of technicians are no where near as qualified as the specialists are to diagnosis my dog against what the specialists diagnosed. The first agent I talked to on the phone after the denial was not helpful at all and even gave me incorrect information, delaying my appeal further. The next person I talked to was helpful and heard my concerns, said she would have a supervisor call me back or she would call me back to discuss my concerns but no one called me. Also, your company advertises “direct pay to vets” but it’s not direct pay. It’s reimbursement to a vet after a approval process which no vet would EVER agree to “maybe be paid” weeks after the bill was sent. That is false advertising, which is illegal and is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because my appeal was approved. However, I shouldn’t have had to go through all of this. I selected this insurance company after hours of research, trusted you all to support me when I’d need it, and I’ve been faced with deceit and lies. I’m hoping things improve so I don’t have to change insurance plans, so I’m giving you all one more chance. I know I’m just one person out of thousands that you all have plans with, so me leaving doesn’t hurt your business but I hope you at least listen to these concerns and don’t do what you did to me to anyone else.

I am so happy I decided to get pet insurance for my dog and I'm even happier that I chose Healthy Paws as the insurance for my dog. I'm embarrased to admit that I've submitted more pet insurance claims than I wished. My dog is very high maintenence and he seems to get himself checked into the vet a lot... or perhaps he loves vet visits and does what he can to keep going back. Either way, knowing that this insurance is supporting us financially makes me feel better. Their website and app are very easy to use and I look forward to seeing my reimbursement checks in the mail. THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM! Do not purchase any horse insurance through this company!!!! I insured my horse through ASPCA for accident and colic. My horse had an accident that led to colic. They denied both the accident and colic because the vet records didnt specify colic even though the records specified colic many times! The customer support is a joke, the lady just talked in circles and lied the entire time. I even caught her lying and she just lied more!!!

Many claims, no problems.
I got embrace 5 years ago when he was a pup. Since then, he's had a large number of health issues and embrace has paid every claim as promised, including a couple years where we maxed out benefits. The first year that happened, I expected them to refuse to renew the policy or bump the premium a lot. Didn't happen. If I could give embrace 10 stars, I would.
