Scammers
Paid out to this company for years and the first claim I ever submitted, they only paid half after deductible because they said they don’t pay for examination fee. This was an emergency visit not a routine exam.

I just canceled this policy
I just canceled this policy, in the beginning it was ok then as it went along they took longer and longer to pay the claim. They never took long to take the premium out of my bank. The last 3 yrs. They have gone up at least 10.00, they said because he is getting older. He is 8 yrs old and not sick. All they paid in claims this last yr was 265.00, not much in my opinion seeing as how I paid 60.04 monthly. I really thought it would help but there is a 404.00 claim now that they have put me off now for a month because they are overly busy. BS I say.

AWESOME COMPANY...I have had Trupanion…
AWESOME COMPANY...I have had Trupanion coverage for my 13 year old German Shepherd Cullen for many years now. Each time a claim is submitted it is paid immediately. Two ways to submit the claim....Some clinics have the ability to directly submit the claim on your behalf or for those clinics without access to the Trupanion portal YOU the dog parent will need to submit on website. Paid and sent directly to your checking account..Heads up that exams are usually not covered but everything else is, depending on the plan you pick! Easy! Thank you Trupanion for always being there for me and Cullen. You guys are pretty awesome!

Making a bad situation WORSE
I have had Healthy Paws for YEARS. In the past I have rated them 5/5 and had claims processed quickly and any issues handled swiftly. Customer service was second to none. Until my pet passed away..... My dog passed away on the 16th of the month, I notified HP right away. I filed a claim for the cremation expenses, as covered by her medical condition. They still took out my premium on the 21st and have not processed my claim. I understand that things happen - however my communications with them have been less than helpful. The first time I emailed, they said it would be taken care of in a timely manner. 7 days go by, so I call customer service. They proceed to tell me that my claim will be processed on the 25th and my account will be closed and they will refund my premium. On the 26th I called back and and the gentleman on the other end of the phone proceeds to tell me that no one should have said that and that there are a 'lot of other sick dogs' so we will process your request as soon as possible. I have been really nice in my communication with them, as I know things happen but this is a little ridiculous at this point. I also felt it was a little insensitive to say that my claim was being held up because there are a 'lot of other sick dogs'. I really expected better, Healthy Paws... you were a big part of helping us when we needed it. Now I feel like we don't matter because you're not going to get a monthly premium from us anymore.

Just the communication. When I had questions about the status of a submitted request they are very responsive. I dont feel like there dont to pay or anything:) It helps knowing that there is always someone on the other end.
