Insurance claim was easy and fast and covered the incident

Initially, it was difficult to make a decision about pet insurance as there are quite a few companies that provide this service. But after doing the research, I decided on Fetch Pet and glad that I went with them. Recently my puppy received a mouth laceration that required stitches inside the mouth. He received excellent care and the exams, tests, surgery, overnight care and follow-up were covered by my Fetch Pet Insurance. It was nice not to worried about these expenses when your focus and concern was all about your dog's care and recovery. Thanks Fetch Pet.

Continues to charge me for cancelled policy for dead cat

My cat passed away on 5/15/23. I received an email stating my policy has been cancelled on 6/1/23. I was charged for June on 6/7/23, but the payment declined because I moved money out of that account. I received an email stating they hoped me and my (deceased) cat were well and telling me my payment didn’t go through. I call, waste 1.5 hours on the phone with 2 supervisors. They can’t find the email THEIR company sent me. I have to forward it to them several times. And no one can answer why my card was erroneously charged, when my policy actually will be cancelled, or whether I may be charged again. I was actually told they could not guarantee that I don’t get charged again, for a cancelled policy for a cat who died last month. No one in customer service can turn off autopay or delete my billing info. They can’t even cancel the account. They have to send a request which can take 10 business days to some mysterious payment department that has no way to contact them. It was traumatizing to receive an email asking how my poor dead kitty was doing. And every email I’ve received is an obvious form letter. No actual personalized customer service. This company doesn’t care about your pets, only their money. They’ll even keep taking your money after they tell you the policy is cancelled because your animal died. Do not recommend to anyone. UPDATE 6/9/23: Received an email from a Customer Liaison Manager stating they’ve attached a notice of cancellation. They actually attached a copy of this 1-star review. That tells me two things: 1) this company has little to no QC process, even when dealing with incredibly frustrated customers. 2) the email I received was solely because I left a poor review. My several emails and calls did not matter. So if you review here, you’ll get a response, but you still might not get what you need. I’m sure I’ll get that cancellation notice someday…

Though not exactly a new Trupanion…

Though not exactly a new Trupanion member--we had insured our previous beloved canine companion through Trupanion for about 14 satisfied-customer years--enrolling our new dog was an easy, transparent experience. I would have expected nothing less from Trupanion, as I have always found their customer service staff the best in the business.

Payment fees, really?

I want to say Stephanie was wonderful, informative, kind, and understanding. They are lucky to have such an excellent employee. Now, my reason for 1 star - they charge a $3 per month payment processing fee for every single payment and any payment method, bank account hookup, credit card, check, etc. That's a giant middle finger to your customers and a ridiculous nickel and diming fee. You're charging me to pay you, and that's a dirty, dirty move. The people that approved and decided to do this to their customers should have their numbers on the website and their e-mails to handle the criticism, rather than hand it out to their front line workers to have to deal with. I am a Customer Success/Experience leader and I would never, ever put that on my employees, it is a gutless move from a what I can only assume is a completely gutless "leadership" team. Edit: This is for each pet, not payment. Instead of lying to/misleading your customers, maybe tell the truth and add three dollars to every policy you quote so we have correct and accurate quotes when comparing pricing. I have to remove two dogs now of the three I gave you (I have six) and I am considering remove them all - I can only imagine other ways you will try to get one over on me. Edit 2: Your reply is nonsense, other provides who I am currently with don't do this. You're also a bod faced liar saying you strive for clarity and transparency, no you don't. Your reply here is insulting and intellectually dishonest, and your "leadership" team is a sad joke for not putting themselves out there. I canceled my policies - doing business with this company is a pathetic joke.
