Insuring our new puppy.

This was fairly straightforward and easy to do for someone my age (82). 😎

Horrible Pet Insurance

They have not only doubled my premiums they have now become IMPOSSIBLE to file a claim with. Be prepared to jump through MONTHS worth of hoops in order to get your claim paid. Along with a couple of denials.

I sleep better with Pets Best

I have Pets Best for both of my Dobermans since they were puppies. Have had zero problems with claims except sometimes it takes a bit to get processed. Easy to submit a claim and if they have questions they contact my vet.

I call this insurance provider "The Gambler"

I'm pretty disappointed in the Fetch business model. I got Pet Insurance for financial security and peace of mind. It has turned out to be very frustrating, as there is A LOT of uncertainty surrounding the coverage and every trip to the vet is a gamble. It will be extremely stressful if I ever have to make a quick decision about whether or not to go through with a procedure that may, or may not save my dog's life, but will ultimately end up resulting in a lot of debt if it turns out not to be covered after waiting for 15 days to get the invoice and HX notes assessed by a Fetch representative. Even a 1-3 day wait time to get a pre-approved authorization by the Fetch team is not going to help very much if my dog needs immediate care. I would like to see an easily accessible, more user-friendly, less convoluted and continuously updated list of what will not be covered by one's Fetch insurance plan.

My advice: NEVER have your pet uninsured!

Always there for my pets now that they’re aging. We insured them because as they aged and needed more healthcare, we never wanted to make a decision regarding treatment that was based on our budget rather than their best interest. Trupanion does that for us!

Trupanion has always covered Gracie’s…

Trupanion has always covered Gracie’s medical needs. They were very quick to respond with estimates and when I called, clearly explained what was covered and what wasn’t. The vet had made a mistake in submitting the estimate and the woman at Trupanion called the vet to clear things up. Very happy with their service and plan.

Trupanion is awesome A+

As the title says, I am very happy with Trupanion. I signed up for their 90% plan. They had their share paid before I left the Vets office. My trip to the Vet yesterday was roughly $672.00 and my out of pocket of that bill was $55.00. That put a smile on my face. They have been this way with every Vet visit. They follow up with e-mails and links to your claim. Trupanion is very efficient. I think I chose well for my first try with pet insurance, They are a keeper. And finally remember folks, get insurance on your puppy early, like at 2 months old. I waited until my boy was 3 months old, in that one month he got an ear infection in his left ear. So now he has that one preexisting ailment, so they don't have to pay for ear infections for the rest of my dog's life.
