I was calling to cancel my pet insurance for my two dogs (Bent'e & Barely A Dog). My Husband recently lost his job and I am on Social Security. My customer service representative just happed to be Denise A. Who not only showed empathy, but was able to get me a reduce monthly payment regarding Barely A Dog, She gave me options and worked with me on both accounts. Her bedside manner, professionalism, knowledge of the company and overall representation was EXCELLENT. When I asked how long she had worked at Fetch, she informed, since Jan 2023. I was impressed. Maybe you'll get your money, but probably not.
Spot makes many claims on what they will compensate for but it is no easy task. They continually put you through significant red tape to approve your compensation. Filing claims is a little difficult but not too bad with their existing UI. While I had some success with claims, I'm also out thousands because they couldn't get some info in time (yet it was used just fine elsewhere). They also randomly changed their contact info between claims which led to further delays and left me feeling uncomfortable and nervous. I feel a bit taken advantage of by this company and not sure I'd recommend them elsewhere.

Great Pet Insurance
I am very pleased with Met Life Pet Insurance Claims are easy to submit and are processed quickly. This is my first experience with pet insurance and the experience has been a good one.
So far, so good...
This was a very recent purchase so we haven't had the opportunity to use the plan yet. The purchase itself was extremely easy and the details of the plan were easy to understand compared to a few others we looked into. Hopefully, this will turn out to be a good choice for our lab.

DO NOT ENROL THROUGH YOUR VET unless you want to pay 50% more in monthly premiums. The quote from my vet after one month "free coverage" was $120 per month. I did a simple online quote outside of my pet and it was only $80 per month. that is $4,800 more in premiums per year. Trupanion's Nov 2021 SEC filing says "Trupanion members tend to visit their veterinarian more frequently and spend more money on the best course of treatment for their pet." Trupanion knows it will pay out more over the life of your pet if you have a vet so they charge you more if you enrol through a vet than on your own.

Avoid Trupanion Pet Insurance!
A horrid company to deal with. Absolutely do NOT recommend them. I have 3 husky mixes. All young. One began spontaneously having seizures. Rushed him to emergency vet. Still don’t know why he was seizing. Did blood work (CBC and tick panel), meds in case he has another seizure and deworming in case a tapeworm went to his brain. Bill so far is $800. I have a $500 deductible. Of the $300 excess Trupanion has covered $25. Disgusting! They are treating everything as if it is an annual wellness check. Their website doesn’t work so you can’t check you pets policy online during an emergency. The only available documentation online is a note that says one of my dogs’ files had a review done and is marked complete and yet his file is incomplete because they lost the basic info about his birth date and adoption date. The review was done several months ago and I was supposed to be alerted to the missing info but was not. Instead they marked his file complete. There is zero documentation available online for my other 2 dogs. My premiums went up after 1 year despite their false promise that your premiums don’t rise as your dog ages. Nonsense! It’s a smokescreen for raising your premiums anyway. I asked to speak to a manager. We played phone tag. Every voicemail he left was snarky and belligerent. I finally asked him to leave a voicemail with a date and time to connect. Never heard from him again. This is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. They are sloppy, snarky, don’t care about you or your pets. Everything is excluded. An emergency is treated like an annual wellness visit so everything is excluded. I’ve wasted $3500 on premiums so far and received a whopping $25 in coverage. Finally spoke to a manager who was at least pleasant and I was told going forward, everything should be covered for seizure diagnostics and treatment. Nope! More claim denials. Called customer service to advocate for coverage since this is not routine wellness visits. Was told too bad, nothing I say will make them budge. All they care about are their profits. Screw the customer and pets. They are sloppy. lazy, don’t care, and are a massive rip-off. Do not ever get pet insurance with Trupanion. You’ll go broke and have the aggravation of mopping up all of their sloppy, incomplete work while getting a few pennies in actual coverage.

seamless experience
We had seamless experience, pets best covered our dogs claim and are waiting for the payment to post to my account. It took longer than I thought it would but not unusual with insurance stuff. So glad we have pets best insurance for our dogs
