Trupanion is the BEST!
Excellent claim service. All reps are caring, informative and knowledgeable. I recommend this company strongly. We have been client for 14 years ever since our dogs were pups.

The worst insurance company ever
I just cancelled after two months!! They paid absolute nothing after I spent thousands on my dogs care😡. Absolutely the worst company ever!
Quick and friendly!
I love the easy claim process, and everyone involved was super nice! Thank you.

Happy with Healthy Paws
All of my interactions with Healthy Paws have been great. I have three dogs insured under Healthy Paws. I inherited a dog and was able to easily transfer over the insurance from the previous caregiver to me. I like the flexibility of building the coverage I want, and their premiums are reasonable. I recently had my first claim with Healthy Paws when my young dog had a neurological issue. When I knew the vet bills would be high I called the customer service line to discuss with them the process. They were super helpful and comforting. They requested my vet records ahead of time so that when I did submit my claim the process went smooth and I received my reimbursement quickly. I am very happy with Healthy Paws. They were very compassionate in all of my interactions with them.

The recent claim process was an appeal…
The recent claim process was an appeal for total nonpayment of a prior claim I had filed. The entire process has been incredibly frustrating, mostly due to bad communication. The habit of sending out boiler plate emails and not having ANY means of emailing someone about the claim is not good practice in this day and age. I work two jobs. It took several calls to finally get someone to escalate this matter. I was finally reimbursed after a review of the claim, which I am happy about but all this aggravation could have been avoided. I was never even given and explanation about what happened. I pay my premiums on time but I have to wait an extra month for the reimbursement. Response to Pets Best: You have my phone number. Have a supervisor call me.

Overpriced, misleadingly-presented coverage, and terrible customer service
We had the preventative basic plan because the vast majority of what we need for our pet is preventative care. Turns out, effectively nothing we do (e.g., vaccines, preventative flea/tick meds, etc.) are actually covered. Beyond that, the premium we've paid annually would have barely been less than what we would have just paid out-of-pocket for the services themselves. In summary, the coverage is presented misleadingly, the prices are astronomical for what is covered, and customer service has been no help at all. We cancelled coverage, and even if we ever want pet insurance again, we'll never consider ASPCA Pet Insurance again. Buyer be warned.
