Terrible Service
This insurance has taken off some coverage because the veterinary office inadvertently added something from our other dog, which has already passed away almost one year. The doctor has written a letter to my insurance explaining this error. I have sent multiple times detailed medical records, including doctor notes and the letter mentioned above. Now, 6 month later they are asking yet again for medical records. This is unacceptable and their service is less than mediocre.

Best Major Medical Policy
I have used several different pet insurance companies for various dogs in my life, but for major medical issues, I think Trupanion trumps them all. The one-time deductible for a given condition is unique in my experience, as most/all of the other companies' policies charge it again year after year for ongoing treatment of chronic conditions, and their claim processing is remarkably quick and efficient. Most of the time, there are only three or four days between claim and payment, and it's so convenient to have them deposit the payments into my checking account. It's not inexpensive, but neither is good veterinary care for our best four-legged friends. I'm very happy with Trupanion.

I recently had a heart attack and needed bypass surgery. I was rushed to Ottawa and left Jax alone my neighbours quickly rushed into action. They had a local town hall meeting to decide on how to look after my baby. A couple of young girls stayed with Jax the first night so he would not be alone. After that one of my friend would leave her cat alone and slept at my house so Jax would not be alone THE WHOLE NEIGHBOURHOOD also took turns walking him and are still doing it til I recover I have amazing people around me who really care. It is really awesome

All good now
I have been with healthy paws for many years and have had very good experiences in the past. However, things have changed. I am having trouble getting reimbursed for insulin and syringes for my diabetic dog. I have been trying to reach them by phone for over 2 weeks and I get a recording to call back during office hours. Problem is I am calling during office hours. NOTE: Healthy paws has been in touch with me and is reexamining my claims. Regarding the phones, I didn’t realize they are on PST time. All is good now.

Pet insurance has a reputation for being a ripoff and not good for the pocketbook. I have had several over the last few years and it turns out that all of the. Have found a way out of paying. The same goes for well care. ASPCA insurance seems to have found a good balance and it was easy to setup.

I have had great experiences with ASPCA…
I have had great experiences with ASPCA pet insurance. I never have a problem with claims being denied for no legitimate reason. They pay claims quickly. Customer service is better than other insurances I’ve had. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the actual claim processing can be a little slow, and their monthly premium is on the higher side especially considering the somewhat low (not unlimited) annual cap. However, to me, the customer service and straight forward claims review process is worth the extra money.
