False advertising- they do not process claims for months
Their website boasts "fast claims". But it's been 4 months and I'm still waiting. I filed 2 claims in June, and it is now September with no resolution, other than emails saying "we're working on it". After MULTIPLE calls wasting my own time, no anwers. DO NOT FALL FOR THEM. They have nice agents, but awful service. They gave me excuses like "we're changing systems". That was 4 MONTHS AGO.

Highly Recommend 10/10
Trupanion has paid off very much so far. Here in FL, the policy is a little different, from what I can tell the best part about the policy is the $0 deductible. The only thing I wish I would've known was that you cant increase your coverage once you get it, only lower it. But I would still highly recommend this pet insurance to anyone! Esp if your pets are still young. I enrolled my puppy and kitten when I first got them and it's def paid off for my puppy! They have covered exploratory surgery and all the tests and medications. Truly saved my pockets. Thank God he is insured. I think the best part is, is that they pay the vet directly.

It took a month to have my claimed reimbursed. It’s funny how you want payment with the quickness yet cannot complete the work for the customer in a timely fashion

Quick and accurate claim payment
Our 5 year old Rottie tore her ACL and needed TPLO surgery. We had a minor issue submitting a claim through the website. Cynically, I suspected the worst as this was our first claim. However, when we called to follow up, there was a quick apology and we were asked to submit via email. The email submission wad acknowledged within hours and after a small piece of additional information was provided, the claim was verified and we received a reimbursement check for $2100 within a couple of days. Great customer service and quick follow through, we couldn't be happier.

New to pet insurance
I have never had pet insurance so I debated getting it for our newest dog. You hope to never use it, but just like any insurance, it’s nice to have if you do need it. Thankfully we did not have a large ER bill, but it certainly could have been. The process to make a claim was fairly easy. There was a little extra than I expected, but thankfully our regular vet had what we needed. Thank you for providing this option.
