Easy enrollment process
Easy enrollment process. Part of the reason for the highest rating was the experience of losing our sweet boy Gus earlier this year. The Trupanion representative was empathic and understanding and made a hard phone call as painless as possible.

Reimbursed for expensive TPLO surgery as expected
My small dog recently injured herself, and that injury required multiple veterinary services, including an expensive TPLO surgery. I submitted a claim for each invoice, and each claim was settled within days. Each claim had an explanation of benefits which clearly explained what was covered, what was not, what how much went toward my deductible. There were no surprises, and I was reimbursed the amounts I was expecting. After having 2 previous pets go through expensive cancer treatments without pet insurance, I will never have another pet without it.
