Beware of deceitful sales practices; not to be trusted!
At first I thought the customer service I received was solid; until I later realized that it was manipulative & deceptive. The “script” my salesman used concealed the fact that he was selling me the Recovery & Complementary Care rider without telling me it was an additional charge. Instead of being transparent & offering me the choice to increase my monthly payments by a significant amount to add the rider, he conveniently (for himself & Trupanion’s benefit) left that out to make me believe it was included in the standard policy. After reading my welcome email & calling a second time to inquire about this rider & clarify prices without it, I was informed that different agents use different scripts & the manager of the person who sold me the policy would have been aware & in approval of the script used by that agent—which means that the deceptive marketing practices come from higher up in the company. I find this utterly disgusting. Trupanion may be the biggest, most well-oiled pet insurance company out there, but they are not to be trusted. I will be spending more time sifting through other companies to find one with more integrity. Two stars instead of one because the company uses USA based agents instead of out-of-country call service centers.

Scammers - Go with Embrace instead!!!
I submitted a claim for a little over $1,000 for my dog's surgery. They rejected it falsely claiming they didn't have SOAP notes from the Mamaroneck Vet that my dog has not been to since 2018. They said they couldn't obtain records from 2021 that they needed. Obviously - he didn't go there in 2021! He attends a new vet closer to my new home and has been going there since 2018! They do not care to rectify the situation or help me. They just keep denying the reality of the situation. They do not help with anything and will avoid paying for reimbursement at all costs. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY! I used to have Embrace and what a mistake it was to leave! ***Look at their response - vague and ridiculous. This was not a pre-existing condition. They turned down this claim because they are pretending they cannot access records in an effort to avoid payment.

My puppy needed surgery on her knee
My puppy needed surgery on her knee. Fetch gave me a pre-approval statement prior to the surgery. Once surgery was completed I received the reimbursement in a timely manner. They explained all aspects of the bill and their determination. Great customer service. Best investment I made for my puppy.

My Furry Friend Needs Care Too...
After carefully looking at a number of health insurance policies for my furry friend, I went with ASPCA Pet Health Insurance because it offered me a variety of options when making my decision. The plan was competitive with the other companies, however what stood out about the plan I choose, was the way there were no hidden coverages. Everything is shown in plain language so that no surprises are warrant. I would recommend it to family, friends, and will be utilizing this health insurance for all my furry friends.

I spent a lot of time comparing…
I spent a lot of time comparing different companies plans . I ended up going with Fetch. Not the cheapest , but you get what you pay for . I even opted in for the wellness plan that reimbursed me within 7-10 day ( direct deposit) . Having two puppies at one time , and knowing the ups and downs of being a dog owner , it gives me some peace of mind . Oh and if you pay quarterly or in full you can lower the overall price point . The app is easy to navigate and works well !!!
