The world's most expensive rescue dog!!
When our rescued Golden Retriever came to us at 11 months, he was beautiful and healthy if a little skinny. But we had been there before so we bought Pet Plan (now Fetch) for him as we had for our other dogs. That was fortunate. 2 years later we found out Buddy had severe hip dysplasia and he got his first hip replacement then another 2 years and another hip replacement. Without insurance that would have cost us approximately $15000 for the 2. With insurance it was around $4500. Then recently, at age 8, after a lot of testing the vet found a lump on his thyroid that turned out to be a thyroid tumor. $3000 for the CAT scan and another $5000 for the surgery and biopsy. The biopsy showed it to be malignant. Thankfully, caught early, he is recovering well. We paid $2400. We would have paid for all of this, regardless of whether we had insurance, because our dogs are our children but it sure made it easier knowing we had insurance to help cover these unexpected costs. Fetch never balked at the costs and paid quickly exactly as expected. We have recommended insuring pets many times over the years and Fetch is definitely an above average company.

…Spot saved the day
Never used my pet insurance for illness for my dog till now.She caught a respiratory infection that required tests and medication that was over a 1000. dollars.Submitted my bill to Spot expecting decline decline. They processed it quickly with no hesitation. Love Spot insurance. They were there when I needed them and they definitely came through

They just don’t pay out on anything
They just don’t pay out on anything. Unlike insurance for people, this industry isn’t regulated (American healthcare isn’t much better) but ASPCA Insurance does whatever they want whenever they want. Bloodwork isn’t covered, prescriptions are not covered, and most importantly half of basic wellness care is not covered.

MetLife Pet insurance has improved
File your claims properly you should have no problem . Yes we had our headaches at first but customer support listened and I have to say it is like night day now. i am very impressed . Keep up the good work
