Nationwide Pet Insurance
Nationwide is easy to use and when I call I always get any help that I need.
Claim time
Waiting 3-6 weeks on a claim is un exceptional, you are going thru some computer change and your excuarent adding up I have 2 dogs and I have 1. Kai. Submitted and paid in 24 hours and another dog claim take 4-6 weeks on the the same issue and same bills , this bios by your system slicking and choosing what gets paid . I have been a customer for 5,5 years in the past 3 months this is been going on. No one in your customer service cares all they say is sorry we have a lot of claims which mean you have more business so you have more in I e so you need to hire more employees or computer robots that filter the claims faster cause it can be paid in 24 hours as I have proof.

Amazing company
About 13 years ago I had a horrible experience with a different pet insurance company. I was hesitant to get another dog and try another insurance company. Healthy paws has been amazing. Remit payment fast, reach out to ask how my dog is doing, excellent coverage plans. I’ve been able to get both dogs top tier care with this company, every step of the way. I am so grateful for them and recommend them to everyone! Additionally, in the last 6.5 years, their price increases have not been insane and for that I’m very grateful.

You can read my review on your feedback I submitted from the email I received…I’m disappointed in the little to no amount of coverage I received for my dog’s urgent care visit.

Rate increase from $57/month to $161/month, 0 claims.
I originally purchased my policy when my puppy was around 6 months old. I asked about rates and rate increases and was told that there would be minor rate increases but by insuring early I’m locking in a rate for low risk factors. My dog is now 7 years old and my renewal summary show next years rate at $161.18/month for the first 5 years rate increase were reasonable. After 5 years I was paying around $70/month, but the last few have been steep jumps. This is the explanation for my new rate. “Why your price is changing As your pet gets older, their risk of getting sick or hurt goes up, which means they cost more to insure. Your pet’s breed and the cost of veterinary care in your area can also be a factor.” I would suggest self insuring, I plan to for my next pet. If you do want to opt for pet insurance, I recommend asking for a brake down of premiums by age of your breed so that you can make a proper assessment of what you’ll be signing up for.

Wonderful company
Wonderful company. You can get a live person to talk to if you need it, and they are generous in interpreting claims. What do I mean by "interpretation?" Well, there is often gray area in whether something was "pre-existing" or not, or in whether, say, a dental, was routine, or an emergency treatment. I have found them to err on the side of my benefit. I'm loyal for life.
