We have been members of Healthy Paws for years now. Unfortunately Sophie has needed surgeries we did not anticipate when we bought her. We are both senior citizens and would have done whatever was necessary to get her the best care. Good medical care for your fur family member is expensive. Healthy Paws has always come thru for us and enabled us to provide Sophie with the care she needed and making the financial decisions easier. Within a week we received the direct deposit from them. We highly recommend everyone insure their pet(s) with this wonderful company with exceptional customer service.

Fetch advertises that it pays claims in 14 days...not true!
Update: After I posted this review Fetch reached out and approved our claim within 24 hours and I was paid in a few days. Fetch advertises that it pays claims quickly, normally 14 days. We had an emergency surgery with our guy in September and I filed my claim on 10/2, it still hasn't been paid. The frustrating thing is that they cannot tell me when it will be paid. They wait for almost 30 days, ask another question and then tell you it can be 30 days from the previous time you answered their question. I know it's a very big claim but I put these expenses on my credit cards back in September, thinking that Fetch would pay in a timely manner but that has not happened yet. I still cannot get an answer on when it will be paid.

Process for submitting claims is easy and I like having the peace of mind that my pet will be covered in the event of any illness or injury. It remains to be seen how much premiums will increase year over year, however.

Customer service rep to the rescue
When signing up online and providing everything including credit card payment I was given an error message. While this was frustrating, I luckily called the customer service number and got a great customer service representative who turned everything around and was fantastic. He saved Trupanion from losing a customer and turned the experience around from a 1 star experience into a 5 star experience.

Totally unreasonable
They took a typo in the medical notes that our vet worked very hard to rectify and ran with it. Would not even believe my vet that it was a typo and said their decision not to cover was final and that it was now a pre-existing condition. Vet said she never saw an insurance company act this unreasonable and deliberately obtuse. She went through all the requested channels to rectify the error but they still doubled down and deliberately misinterpreted another line in our pet’s health records to stick to their original adjudication that anyone with a first grade reading level would be able to interpret correctly. Our vet tried to make it clear again but they wouldn’t budge. Vet said she will never recommend Embrace to her clients based on how they acted with her and said it seems to have gone seriously downhill in the last year or so. They act like they get bonuses for denying coverage, it’s insane and their arguments are clearly bad-faith arguments.
