Monica was very helpful!

Monica was very helpful in helping me sort out the coverage for our two dogs. She answered all of my questions and offered me the two-dog discount without me even knowing about it. The expense of the insurance was cheaper than any of the others I had looked at and was able to be tailored to our situation and needs.

Was Good at First then Became Expensive with Poor Service

Negatives: They rarely pay out anything and they get more and more expensive every year even if your pet doesn't have any conditions or issues. Their customer service is pretty poor and they don't actually care about keeping customers. They don't actually explain why they paid a claim a certain way - at least not in terms anyone outside of the insurance industry can understand. Positives: It's easy to submit a claim online.

Rates go up

I'm staying with Healthy Paws because I had such good service from them when I had to file a claim. That was in 2020 (three years ago). However, my monthly premium has gone up over 300% since 2020, so much that I had to lower my coverage level to afford it. Maybe it's because of my zip code, and my dog is now going on 14 years old. I just hope the rate change doesn't mean Healthy Paws was bought out by some other company that will downgrade services as a cost cutting measure.

I never used this insurance!

I never used this insurance! I didn't know how to use it or if it covered an appointment and it was renewed automatically! I wasn't planning on renewing. There should really be a manual on how to use the insurance.
