LIFE SAVER
When my dog accidentally ate something TOXIC, I was a very nervous Momma. Scared and overwhelmed I rushed her in to the Emergency Vet. After an overnight stay and medications to be given at home my final invoice topped out at just over $4,000!!! I thought I would die right there on the spot. HOW was I going to cover this? I managed to get a loan, but the payments were just as much as my car payment! I gathered my documents from the VET and promptly submitted my claim. Exactly 11 days later the claim had been processed, approved and I will be reimbursed as per my policy, right down to the penny! THANK YOU!!! My portion of this bill is now a MUCH EASIER pill to swallow - unlike my dogs meds are for her. A+

Any reason to avoid paying
Took insurance for my pup early on. A few months later the pup swallowed a bone that required surgery to remove from stomach. The claim was denied because earlier vet notes included mention of the pup having small rocks in it's poop... so for them "ingesting foreign material" started before insurance coverage. Please name me one pup that has not eaten a small rock or eaten grass at one point... so of course if you use that kind of argument you can deny every claim. The vet notes are from me and the vet investigating why the pup had soft stool at one point (all typical normal pup events)... and now this info is used to invalidate claims... so it essentially makes my coverage crippled. I kind of suspected that pet insurance would be like that. Also (and this is on me for not reading) coverage does not cover taxes and diagnosis, so add this to deductible and %coverage and it does not add up to much coverage. All in all not worth it. Fortunately I am not broke and I do not need or want to argue with insurance companies so I will simply save on insurance premiums and pay myself. Coverage cancelled immediatly, luckily I only paid for a few months before finding out, no regret, moving on.

I have been with this company for 3…
I have been with this company for 3 years. I sang all the praises for them and their practices. Then the 2nd year started with the attiude each time I called so I would hang up and try another phone person. When I started with this company it was pretty much one person answering the phone at his home as the customer base was still low. I have seen big changes and the attitude is well don't like it then leave. I was so happy the first 1 1/2 years but now things have changed and I have decided I will be changing too. My change is to move to a company that is looking out for my animals and my pocketbook. I have had sarcastic answers and downright dismissal in several phone conversations. Even nasty when I was trying to pay my yearly bill. Sad state of affairs from the first 1 1/2 years of insurance. I also was sent a wonderful box of delicious cookies as a gift at one time now I can't get a straight or pleasant answer to my questions. Oh, don't expect too much coverage unless catastophic as it won't be paid for unless you have the added expense of Wellness Insurance. Dental hygiene is know to be a key to a human or pet's good health but not here. Will pay for extractions but not a cleaning that could be a preventative to heart disease. So pay the premium then pay more for Wellness !!! I thought health insurance was the path to wellness. Dr Kendra Sullivan Godin

Knowledgeable Agent
I appreciated the option to leave my phone number for a callback. The agent was knowledgeable about the products and checked out the discount I was inquiring about (yes, we qualified). I felt well informed.

I haven’t had to use this insurance
I haven’t had to use this insurance. I insured my dog at 8 months and he’s 2.5 years old now. Have filed no claims but notified that his premium increases shortly for almost $20 per month.

Great information given!!
Great information given and ability to explain in great detail. I liked the fact that the rep I spoke with, had actually worked as a Vet Tech previously. Therefore, she was very informed on pet/vet experiences.
