Trupanion is horrible
Trupanion is horrible. Our dog's policy was originally $45 per month but went up to almost $200 per month when she turned 10. She ended up having a reaction to a medication, bleeding internally and had to be euthanized and they denied the entire claim stating pre-existing from a TPLO when she was 5. Choose a different company.

Our experience with PetsPlusUs
This company has been very helpful with the insurance for our dog's, Charlie's, health issues. I do find that speaking with a representative is much more satisfying and efficient than using e-mail or on-line chat. Having the ability to pay directly to the vet for major bills (2 surgeries) has reduced stress levels for me to just worrying about the dog, not about how to be able to pay. the PetsPlusUs team has been great to work with. I would recommend that getting the Accident and Illness Plan rather than just an accident plan is well worth the additional cost.

Complete scam
Complete scam, there website how great they are. What it doesn’t talk about is how they were sued for 4.7 million for raising rates without telling there customers it also doesn’t talk about how you will pay for years an as soon as you submit your first claim they try every way to deny you. Just a heads up if you have been paying for years an you submitted a claim an they tell you that your not covered because of lack of exam you are entitled for a full refund of the policy and you can also take court action

So far, I’ve had a great experience with Embrace. They process claims very quickly and I love how customizable their plans are. They’ve covered over $4,000 in my dog’s vet bills and have never given me a hard time.
