Price jacking / blackmail

Fetch insurance is at it again. This time instead of trying to wiggle out of playing valid claims or running me through unnecessary hoops like getting RX for syringes, they simply just upped the premium >50% just like that, without any reason or context. Calling them, they claimed it's because "factors have changed", but refused to provide any detailed reasons as to what factors have changed. The only thing that changes is that the cat actually needed treatment, and they actually had to pay. Of course now I have a pet with "preexisting condition", which THEY KNOW, so they allow themselves to blackmail for 50% more this year (and who knows how much next?). In short: Fetch will insure your pet, as long as they don't get sick. Then they will just roll the costs over to you, because that's how they roll. I wouldn't trust Fetch long-term to not continue acting in bad faith and in the best interest of their bottom line rather than their customers and their pets. Update after Fetch response: I did try to contact your support, and your representative were unable or unwilling to provide detailed reasoning behind a 50% increase in premium. To your point- I have been paying A VERY expensive premium for many years, on the expectation that if my got sick, it would have been worth it. I did not expect my insurance company to underhandedly try and extort me for 50% premium increase when my pet needed treatment. The way you do business is not customer-friendly, and everyone considering your insurance should know how you conduct yourself.

Don't get this insurance

Changed start date of my plan to push out waiting period date so my claim became "pre-existing". The condition that they claimed as "pre-existing" isn't even formally diagnosed until closer to 4-6 months of age, not 10 weeks.

Don't even think about using Healthy Paws

I only gave one star because there is no zero. (Updated to a two) DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON PET HEALTH INSURANCE. They prove themselves to be a scam of epic proportions. I religiously paid my monthly fee to Healthy Paws Insurance for 9 years for my precious Wally, so in the event of an emergency I would be covered and not have to ask myself, "Can I afford this service for my beloved." Healthy Paws never ever ever covered any health services over the years. NOTHING. I had two emergencies over his nine years and they always had an excuse. Last month Wally was diagnosed with cancer. I wouldn't put him through chemo but there were emergency services just to figure out what was wrong with him. $4K later I had to say goodbye to my boy. Healthy Paws reimbursed me $375. That is $375 TOTAL over 9 YEARS and two emergencies. So F YOU Healthy Paws. A big GARGANTUOUS F YOU. You don't care at all about your customers or their beloved fuzzy four-leggeds. You covered NOTHING over the course of nine years of paying every single month. A slap in the face to every pet owner. You are a scam. FAKES. If you were even considering pet insurance, please just start your own pet savings account -- that is to say, put away some money every month in a separate account that you can access if/when your honey needs help. Pet insurance will cover next to nothing. Healthy Paws isn't the only bad egg. They're all like this. @healthypaws F-you again. To my beautiful Wally, may you rest in peace. REPLY: Thank you for the reply. I talked to your claims team becuase it looks as though the entire emergency services invoice ($1700) was overlooked, therefore not included in my refund. It has been put back into claims so I might get more returned.
