I was skeptical in the beginning about obtaining pet insurance, but so far, this company has responded to my claim submission in a timely manner, and if they have questions, they reach out to the Vet directly. I am super satisfied to date.

submitted a claim and have a question that I want to speak to a human about. it hangs up on you. tried the chatbot, no way to speak to a human. I've paid these people thousands of dollars over the years and I'm disappointed I can't speak with a human.

Complete nightmare!!
Complete nightmare!!! I wasted my money. I purchased the wellness plan and tried to have a routine dental cleaning done. After I filed my claim, four months later and multiple phone calls it was denied because the dog had mild tartar. All dogs have at least mild tartar. Nothing else was done except a simple cleaning. However, the mild tartar was labeled a “pre-existing” condition, and I was denied reimbursement. This is absurd that a simple cleaning could be denied under the wellness coverage. I wish I never agreed to have my payroll deductions for months for no effective wellness benefit, although this was promised numerous times by the sales rep. Do not waste your money or listen to slick sales people. This company sucks.

I have had Trupanion for 4 years plus for both of my boys, 2 English Cream Golden Retrievers. They are always fair and extremely easy to get in touch with, chat is GREAT, there employees are also great. I will always stay with them

You should sign up if you like hidden charges and 40% increase per year.
I had the policy for 5 years and accepting the 40% increase per year. The last straw was I moved across town (going to the same vet) and they claimed they had to increase my policy another 30%. So my policy basically doubled in price. Please do the math before you sign up for this scam. My premium per year would be around $900 and the related deductible is $750, so my out of pocket expense is $1,650. I might as well just pay the $1,650 directly to the vet. And remember depending on your plan not everything will be covered so you’d have to pay excessively to Embrace and then still need to compensate your vet. Over the course of five years I made ONE claim and it didn’t even exceed the deductible. It was the biggest rip off of my life. Please think twice before you sign up.

I've been with trupanion 10 years
I've been with trupanion with my first dog for 7 or 8 years. My dog passed away 2 and a 1/2 years ago I stay with trupanion with my new pup. It's been Two years now with my new pup 🐶. I like true pain, especially the customer service. Everyone is very nice, very knowledgeable, very helpful. That's why i'm staying with the trupanion.
