Trupanion failed me so heavily
I have been with Trupanion for 4 years. 4 YEARS. I went to call today to pre call in a claim which is what I always do so they can pay my vet up front. They then tell me that I no longer have coverage with them due to non payment. I had called a couple months prior to switch card AND bank. Alas, they did not switch anything over, didn’t even note anything. And even when I called to switch ( I was no longer with my old card or bank) they told me “don’t worry we never cancel the account” as I was a little late in forgetting to change bank and card… ANYWHO. Instead of allowing me to pay what is owed and pick back up on my insurance. They then tell me I have to have a different quote and that every problem she has had prior is now a pre existing condition. We got it before we even had our dog in our posession to be prepared and it has benefitted us enough to at least keep it as she has to have surgery in the future. And they’ve covered at least 2,000 dollars worth of accidents. That being said there’s about 2,800 out of the monthly payments I’ve paid for 4 years that had just gone to them freely. That would have covered her surgery that I now will have to pay out of pocket in the future. Sure wish I could have that 2,800 now that I WILL have to pay for her surgery as they can’t make an exception for a long time client who THEY screwed over. I’m out 2,800 dollars and no pet insurance. Thankyou Trupanion for anything you have done, but absolutely curse you for the money you have outrightly stolen from me. Typical insurance scam.

A Double Standard
A bit of a double standard. I take one pet to the vet, and I get an 80% reimbursement deposited in my account. I take my other pet to the vet, and I'm told the reimbursement is being applied to the deductible, and I'm not getting an 80% reimbursement direct deposit.

Pretty surprised
I was really surprised that the whole claim process took so long. It's a good thing that I didn't need my reimbursement soon because I would have been out of luck. This was probably the longest time it ever took for me to receive my claim reimbursement in a timely manner. If this happens again then I'm going to shop elsewhere for a pet insurance product that has a quicker turn around with the processing of claims.

Good Insurance
I have had nothing but good experiences with Healthy Paws. When my dog needed oral surgery they were very easy to work with. The claims process was simple and when they required additional information they were very clear what they needed. They paid my claim in less than a week and checked back in with me to see how my dog was doing after his surgery. I would recommend them to family and friend.

First Time Dog Owner to a vocal & wild husky pup
We got our first puppy recently & I decided that I wanted peace of mind. SPOT has been amazing. They called me after we got the insurance to check in and make sure I understood the policy. We took our dog to his first vet and I'm so glad I got the preventive care add on. They reimbursed me timely for all the preventive care. Much needed for a 8 week old pup. I feel so much more at ease knowing that I have expense help for anything that pops up. Thanks SPOT for making my first time dog parenthood experience less stressful. I can now enjoy my pup and not worry about all the things that can go wrong! We have SPOT for that!

My dog had cataract surgery and Fetch…
My dog had cataract surgery and Fetch insurance paid the claim. But, The next year , 2024, they raised my deductible from $250 to $500 and lowered my reimbursement rate to 70%. This was done because my pet had to have cataract surgery. I was penalized because of his eye condition. They informed me by a email that I was stuck in this new rate. I’m in the process of looking for another pet insurance. Definitely I don’t recommend this company. FETCH PET INSURANCE. I’m sorry I can’t give them a lower rating than 1 Star, they deserve NO STARS. Thanks

Amanda Mello is absolutely wonderful!
Amanda Mello is absolutely wonderful. She guided me through the policy, answered all my questions. She truly listened to me and my concerns. She is a true asset to your company. I wish all companies had call specialists as pleasant and knowledgeable as Amanda is.

Extremely dissatisfied with this…
Extremely dissatisfied with this company. Recently insured my 2 cats with this company a month ago by paying the full annual premium quoted. After a month I started seeing some additional charges on my credit card which was strange as I had already paid in full for the year. After calling them I was told that these charges were because "the location we live in may affect the cost of the policy". The silly thing is that the new residence is just 2 blocks distance from my previous address. The main issue here is not just the nonsense of the charge but the fact that at no point were we made aware of this extra amount as we were changing the address or when it would be charged. I will finish the year's policy and be done with this company for good.
