Cannot Recommend
The service is fine and the people are knowledgeable and helpful. The problem is the cost. I have just been told that my premium for one older pet is going from $246 to $423 per month for 70% coverage. Healthy Paws does not cover doctor exams, routine care and preexisting conditions. My recommendation is to look elsewhere. I have also done some research and it appears that Healthy Paws owns some review sites!

Avoid at all costs
I’m thoroughly disappointed with this company. I have my Staffy and my Chichuahua covered through Trupanion. I was quoted $122 a month which seemed very fair. Since I started my policy in 2022, my Staffy ended up needing an ACL surgery at the lovely price tag of $5700. I filed a claim and it was declined as a pre-existing condition. I blew it off and took on the responsibility of covering the price tag on my own. In December, I paid $122. In January, I was charged $135 which again I blew off because I know premiums fluctuate from year to year. I work for an insurance company so I’m fully aware of this. However, this last payment was $187. When I called in expressing my frustration, the rep I spoke to giggled and said “I’m in Texas also and I know that premiums have gone up.” I said “well I get that but why did it jump up TWICE in 4 months.” The rep said “well pet care has increased in Texas.” That seems a lie because the amount I was paying for my pets at the vet in 2022 when I started my policy is the same that I’m paying for them now at the vet. Since you all want to decline my claim and act so nonchalant about a $780 increase, I’ll will be shopping for different insurance.

FIGO is alright with me!!!
I can’t say one way or another bc in the past year I haven’t really dealt with FIGO other than to pay them every month. I haven’t placed any claims or anything. So I have no comment nor any complaints.

Absolutely horrendous customer support
Absolutely horrendous customer support. They recently denied two claims I filed after my two dogs required emergency vet visits, and they said ‘anything done by a vet isn’t covered.’ Where else would I take my dogs? What other medical expenses would I incur OUTSIDE of a veterinary clinic? I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone, anyone at customer service to explain to me exactly what is covered and why I’m paying over $200 a month for 3 dogs if emergency care isn’t covered. But nobody is responding via email or phone. I’m going to cancel my policy immediately. If you’re considering healthy paws, I would very much recommend looking elsewhere.

Spot Insurance left me howling – not in a good way. If you enjoy frustration, riddles, and financial acrobatics, go ahead and sign up. But if you value sanity, steer clear. My dog deserves better, and so do I.

my billing issue…
Was able to get my billing issue resolved. The customer representative Lisa was quick and very helpful. I was very pleased with the whole experience and normally when I am having to deal with a customer service group I end up feeling bad for having to ask for help or upset because they have blamed me for whatever the issue was, But not with these guys. I felt better after the chat then going into it. Lisa was absolutely amazing from start to finish
