Unbelievable Rate Hikes
I had no problem with my insurance coverage with Embrace; however, after my first year with them they decided to raise my premium. That, in and of itself, was not the problem. THE FACT THAT THEY DECIDED TO RAISE THE PREMIUMS BY OVER 51% a month was enough to make me cancel my coverage and move to another company. I’ll never use them again.

Placed multiple follow ups
Placed multiple follow ups, in last follow up requested a call to discuss and did not receive a call or email (only an automated email directing me to view claim status) and Ive still yet to receive confirmation or even an update on the pre-certifation submitted by my vet that is associated with the CT scan. Please call me to discuss.

Pet lover’s beware!!!!
A month and a half ago I lost my 14-year-old dog around the same time my other dog got sick due to switching their foods and it really didnt sit with them well. My younger dog got sick first and got over it and then my older dog then got sick and I thought he would be OK and he actually didn’t make it. So I was in a tight spot and desperate to make sure my younger dog was going to be OK and took her to the vet. After the appointment they recommended a 30 day free trial with a pet insurance company known as Trupanion. At the time, I was so desperate to make sure she was OK that I went ahead and started their 30 day free trial and looked into their policies and what they could help with at that time. Later on, I realized that due to pre-existing conditions and some of their policies that maybe pet Insurance wasn’t such a great idea. The Representative I talked to reassured me all is well and suggested I keep the service for two weeks look further into their policies and he would give me a call back so we could reevaluate whether or not I wanted to keep their service or not. At that time, I gave him a Venmo card number because I was wary whether or not I could trust them. Sure enough my wariness paid off. I never received a call back or an email and when it came time for them to withdrawal the credit for the first months payment it was almost quadruple the amount of what we originally discussed. Originally price around 54.00 and the credit that we’re trying to withdrawal was 198.00. In these troubling times, it is hard to know whether or not you’re making the right decisions financially when it comes to anything and one wrong decision can really mess you up, it really stinks that there are actually companies out there that would go to the extent of pulling a quick one into that extent on someone who expressed to them that they didn’t know that they could afford it. Lesson learned, get pet insurance at an early age know what your doing and never give your actual bank card information to a service your not sure your going to keep. Use a cash app or Venmo.

The Best Insurance
Spot insurance has been amazing from the ground up. The iOS application is user-friendly and very intuitive. Claims are processed, typically no later than 3 to 5 business days and everything can be uploaded virtually, including an estimate for preapproval so there is no surprises. Reimbursement is quick and easy either to myself or the vet directly. Customer service hours for Phone are a little wonky, but the representatives are amazing once on the phone making it still an overall five star experience. Plan exclusions are pretty limited, providing an overall comprehensive coverage, which was a huge factor for us.
