First let me say, that I have been a Trupanion customer for 13 years. You have been very responsive and fast to pay out my claims. The platform is easy to use and easy to navigate. For the past 13 years I have been an evanglist for Trupanion, recommending you to any dog owner I would meet. That ended today. I called the 1800 number to contest a claim, and was given clear next steps, and I was appreciative, the team member I had was very helpful. When the call started I realized that I had not updated our address and asked if we could do that on the call. Once your team member did update my address, she informed me that my rate was much lower then I was notified it was set to be. At first I thought she made an error, then I was appreciative, because I didn't realize that my rate had anything to do with where I lived. When I asked to appeal for over paying for the past 18 months, the team member mentioned that there is nothing they could do. I let it go, but then while I was on hold I looked back at my claim history and recognized that starting May of 2023 I began taking tucker to my new Vet several 100 Miles away from where I had gone traditionally. I find it hard to believe that there is no system in place that flags a sudden and consistent change of address. There was no curtesy notice, that a change of address could effect my rate. I'm curious if I took Tucker to a more expensive market for a year would Trupanion do more to reach out to me about whether I moved and why I was going to a different vet? When I came off of hold to complete the conversation on my intial claim question, I asked again who I can talk to about appealing my over payment for at least the last year. The team member mentioned there is nothing anyone can do, as it was my responsibility to update my address. I do concede that point. However my argument is that more could have been done by Trupanion to ensure my information was up to date. Had I moved from New Hampshire to New York and taken Tucker to a New York Vet, would you have been more persistent? I am very disappointed that more wasn't done to contact me about my potential savings. I feel like this is a failure of your customer service. I want to be transparent, that you have not lost me as a customer, but you have lost me as an evangelist. I will no longer recommend you to anyone I know. For what it's worth My wife and I moved into a pet friendly, 90 unit apartment building, many of which have one or more pet(s). My recommendation is that you examine your efforts to make sure that profiles are up to date. I would also recommend that you have a policy in place, where if a Customer can verify a change of address there be some sort of rebate or discount afforded thier account. I hope this review is taken seriously as I don't want my experience to happen to anyone else.

I filed a claim2023 around Oct waited, waited and haven’t heard anything !!! I called back and filed the same claim again waited waited nothing happened and then they were asking more information that alreay my vet gave them but they wanted more : ! they had everything I told them my previous vet Hospital transferred all the information to New hospital that I have been with them several years they just wanted something an excuse to denied the case. finally few days after our last conversation they denied the case because of Existing condition ??? and they never explain why they think that problem was a existing condition. they just sent me the general information that what is existing condition ?? That really didn’t help that much !! I am not happy with this Insurance . I have two dogs with them Waste of time and money

Don’t think they actually reimburse
Don’t think they actually reimburse. Been on this insurance for more than a year, never made any claims. When my cat had an accidental and went to ER, I made a claim but kept getting need medical history notifications, sent several times and still didn’t hear back. I canceled the policy. Had better experience with a different insurance, will go back to that one if I ever decide to purchase again. Just don’t think it’s necessary anymore. All the premium I paid may not be that different from whatever medical expenses I may incur.

Great insurance.
So far it has been the best thing I could’ve done for my fur baby, Many Pets has been efficient and it has always reimbursed all of the claims I submitted. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that every year the price will increase about $20. I’m about to start my 3rd year with them and now I’ll be paying double the amount I payed the first year.

PETS BEST WILL DELAY PAYMENT ALWAYS
typical support from Pets Best. you have an issue with the receipt BUT fail to take 30 seconds to email me to clear up the issue.. Instead you close out the claim which is so straight forward to fix. But no multiple calls to find out status... not one email confirming you received the updated paperwork. and silence from Pets Best when you call to find out status.
